The Jeffinator's Lounge

what can I say. looking at various Marvel and DC superbabes for six hours does strange things to one's psyche. Also, another idea popped into my metamind. They come in the darkness. Monsters, hellbent on devouring humanity and twisting it to their dark purpose. Only a few have the power to resist. Only a few can Light up the Darkness

Ooh. Maybe the Darkness bonds to all of Earth's lifeforms like symbiotes, but a handful of people and animals are somehow able to overcome this and control the symbiotes instead of being controlled by them. The animals that overcome this could evolve to furries, lol.

not bad, though my idea came from a mixture of watching Pitch Black and I Am Legend

LMFAO!!! I could so see the theme song for that!! LMAO! Have a bunch of kids singing "Barney and Friends!" and then real quick, in the background, you hear Michael Jackson's ghost go "With Benefits, aheeheehee! WHOO!"

That's actually pretty interesting. You slightly changed the origin of mutation, and parts of it were difficult to follow because you're supposed to start a new paragraph when dialogue changes sources, but still an interesting read.

It gave me an idea of my own. I probably won't turn this into anything, but I'll still share: What if things were reversed? What if Xavier was an evil mastermind who wanted to use Cerebro to control the world? His X-Men terrorize people and enslave them. All mutants they encounter are forced to undergo a complete psychological scanning by Lord Xavier, and if he detects the capacity for total obedience, he recruits them. If not, they get forced to wear a special collar that keeps them completely linked to Cerebro, giving Lord Xavier the ability program them through Cerebro's advanced operating system.

Basically, their brainwaves are controlled by the programs coded into Cerebro so that they are obedient. If they manage to fight the programming even a little, the collars send out a signal to the brains to make them feel intense pain throughout their bodies until they let Cerebro reassume control of their minds. If they fight the programming and the pain for more than five minutes, the collar emits a final shock that causes the brain to unleash it's natural electric energies through out the body, causing a sort of massive seizure.

When this seizure hits their body, it's all over. Their eyes roll back, they thrash madly, their minds relive everything they've ever experienced all at once, causing a clash if memories, and then, in the final stage of the seizure, the victim is electrocuted from the inside out. The power from the seizure builds up, gradually getting worse over the course of several minutes, until finally they are electrocuted to death, their brain, heart, and other organs burnt to a crisp.

Every mutant is scanned for the capacity to alter or destroy the collars as well, and if this proves to be the case, only those that can obey willingly are recruit. All others of this manner are destroyed immediately.

Thus far, no one has been able to touch Lord Xavier and his X-Men, for their hideout lies on an island in the southern Atlantic, hidden from the world by cloaks of illusion. Only one other person knows the secret location -- Eric Lensherr, Magneto. Having once been Xavier's greatest student (yes, Eric would be a younger version of himself), Magneto came to realize just how dark Charles was becoming. His powers were taking him into madness, and so Magneto left, not wanting to take part on the growing madness of his mentor.

It has been quite some time since Eric Lensherr made his departure. Now he has a secret hideout of his own, bringing together a Brotherhood dedicated to stopping Lord Xavier and protecting the innocent. All of his followers are required to swallow a small pill that contains nanobots. These tiny robots circulate the bloostream constantly and prevent the carrier from being detected by telepaths, thus rendering them invisible to Xavier and Cerebro. The nanobots are small enough to pass through the heart without any discomfort.

This is the primary reason Lord Xavier has not conquered the entire world -- he doesn't know for certain how many people Magneto has recruited, nor where he might be hiding them. Any major attempt to exert control over a part of the world is generally thwarted, primarily because Xavier cannot send enough X-Men to fight off the Brotherhood, and he never knows how many will show up to fight them, since he can't sense Magneto's men.

Lord Xavier also knows if he plans ahead and sends every available warrior, his island would be at risk, and since Magneto knows it's location, he must keep a large force there -- that's the only thing stopping Magneto from attacking them directly.

Xavier does have some leads -- for one, he has sensed people drop from Cerebro's list of mutants, which gives him a rough idea of how big the Brotherhood really is. Plus, his forces cannot exceed Xavier's own, for if that were the case, he would have attacked the island by now. Still, he cannot be sure. If Magneto were to, say, implant children of mutants with his nanobots, Cerebro would have never detected them when their powers manifested. And since Magneto has been using these bots for about ten years, his numbers could be great. Thinking about it often made Xavier's head hurt, mostly because the sheer uncertainty of it all aggravated him intensely.

So, there's my idea, blah blah blah, lol.

I know....hence why I said I may try to redraft it into something more sensible. And actually, I didn't change the origin at all. Marvel did. Watch all four seasons of Xmen Evolution and you'll see where the majority of this comes from.

Yup I agree with Dragon there it's quite similar to the basis for X-men Evolution. Dragon you putting an OOC up for it or anything?

Jeff, love ur Idea as well, I've always wanted to play either a Heroic Toad or Sabretooth.

Ah, I see. I haven't watched much of Evolution.

As for my Lord Xavier idea, I probably won't turn it into a superhero rp, but rather integrate it into my magic school rp (still in the production stages). I may change the names and give the young wizards some baddies to fight or something. I was inspired to create a magic school game because I've been playing Wizard101, a new free to play MMO. Well, parts are free to play. You can open up all areas via subscription, or purchase certain areas directly. Right now, the worlds are: Wizard City, Krokotopia, Marleybone, Moo Shuu, Dragonspyre, and Grizzelheim. More are rumored to come.

I have six characters on my account -- Galen Dragonheart, a Balance Wizard, Blaze Fireblood, a Fire Wizard, Malorn Wyrmwraith, a Death Wizard, Autumn Jadethorn, a Life Wizard, Karic Silverbreeze, an Ice Wizard, and Blake Thunderhorn, a Storm Wizard. So far, all of them except Galen are still at Level 1. Galen Dragonheart, however, I have higher. I got him to Level 7 just last night.

Leveling is a slow process, as it is completely dependant on quests (monsters give small amounts of xp). But, there are plenty of quests to be found. I think the main reason it is taking me longer to level is because I get sidetracked by the minigames at the Fairegrounds in Wizard City, that and Wizard City is HUGE and it takes a while to get from place to place.

Unlike most MMOs, the battles take place right in the city. See, in conjunction with the plot, the dark Wizard Malistaire has been plaguing the city with Undead and corrupting fairies and other creatures to make them attack people.

Anyway, it's an awesome game. You get a dorm room that you can decorate with furniture and others stuff, and eventually, you can buy a house or even a castle to put up all of your various treasures you find while exploring the worlds of the Spiral.

The combat is like a mix between Magic: The Gathering and Harry Potter: You are a student wizard, and you use your wand to bring out spells enchanted into cards. You have a deck with your spell cards and you play them in battle. Whenever you make contact with a monster, a large circle appears on the street, along with eight smaller circles -- four facing four. You stand in one circle, and the monster stands on the opposite circle, then you take turns casting spells and summoning monsters like in Pokemon. If another wizard runs by and sees the battle grid and enters it, they are thrown into the battle as well. A total of four wizards and four baddies can take part in a single battle.

It's really awesome seeing what other wizards will draw from their decks. XP and Gold is split up automatically, so no fighting over spoils. If you wanna play, check out Wizard101.com :).

Wolverine and Nightcrawler kicks ass XD I would love to be like night crawler o-o just think of the possibilities....like me with a dirty minds XD there SO many things ya coudl do with that powers ^^

Maybe I'll do the Evil X-Men rp after all, but I want to get my school rp going first. Oh, btw, just a random fact -- Galen Dragonheart is now Level 8!

Grrr. I need to get a bank account instead of using prepaid visas. Here's what I sent the card provider's support center, and their reply:

Dear Jeff,

Good evening. Thank you for replying with that information. The card history shows 5 requested “test” pre-authorizations by the website Kings Isle Wizard, and 5 times the request has been approved. You will need to contact the website to see why they are declining to complete the transactions. It may be that they will not accept the anonymous cards or they are trying to verify more than just the zip code and CVV. They may want a re-loadable card so that they can set up recurring charges and the Gift Card cannot do that. We do apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing, but we are not the ones declining the transactions. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to email us again.

Best regards,

Hello, my name is Jeff Zagst, and I purchased a $25.00 gift card earlier today. I registered it on your site, and yet the card is still declined. I am trying to purchase game money for an online video game I am currently playing, and taking into account the pre-authorization, I marked the purchase for less than that, so that the pre-auth would not be a factor. Yet, the card has been declined. I even lowered it to a charge of $10.00 and then there would be a $1.00 pre-auth, and it is STILL declined. I have done everything necessary to have this card ready to use, yet I cannot use it. Please see to this matter. I will retry my purchase in 24 hours, so please see to it that it does not decline again. Thank you.

Now I am waiting on the Wizard101 site to get back to me, lol. GGRR!!
