The Look

Master generally looks like a thug; tall, broad shouldered with a shaved head and short beard, usually wearing combat trousers, jeans and a rock/metal themed T shirt or hoodie. He looks like trouble and people generally get out of his way. He has now started wearing a mid-thigh length leather jacket that has languished at his father's house for years so the look is complete.

Whether you could call that a 'dom look' depends solely on his demeanour. I've seen loads of guys in town who dress similarly but few of them look or act like alpha males. Red boots and knickers didn't turn Clark Kent into Superman, his self assured body language and confident, determined expression did that.

If you can't be a dominant in a pink tutu, you're not really a dominant. Clothes should not be important.

Sounds more like "the pantera roadie" look to me. ;)

This is both true and funny!

To the OP, you should wear whatever makes you most comfortable. If you feel more
Dommly in the "Dom look," whatever that may be, that's how you should dress.

Last time I checked, Dominants made their own rules. In the bedroom I choose classy lingerie over leather and vinyl because that's what I like. As far as everyday clothes, again my choices are classy. I don't feel the need to project who I am through my clothes. I actually like the duality of looking like a suburban mom but being a hot Domme. :)

I don't really consciously think all that much about achieving a specific "look" when dressing up. For work, it's slacks or black jeans (depending on whether I'm in an office that day or on a worksite) and a polo. For play, it is a variety of things. Usually black jeans or slacks, and a dark button-down shirt. Notice the similarity between the two settings.

It was fun at the last major event I went to, as I was dressed in a polo and jean shirts, and I was looking at all these people dressed to the nines. It's just not me.

I am of the shaved-head-and-goatee variety though. Sadly, it's laziness mostly. I really hate shaving the moustache/goatee area, so I just stopped doing it years ago, and my hair is just not going to look good no matter what sort of cut I get, so off it goes.

werid that someoe else brought this up becuse I've been thinking about doing the same thing. My disablity doesnt make me any less of a Dom. It limits what I can do phsyically for a partner and that but as long as Dom is really a state of mind then im ok.

I got the nicest compliment the other day from someone I used to be at serious lock horns with. It was said of me " She is a really big pain in the ass with her need to control every aspect of a project, but damn we end up doing a lot less clean up if we just do it her way from the begining. "

I think Dom tendecies if controled properly can get us far in the world out side of sexuality. If you think your losing your edge go get it back. And remember we dont ask for respect we demand it .

I just assume he means dom leather master.
It seems enough of a stereo type in the s+m bars.
