The Lounge's Summer Pool Party!!

Standing over Sidney, with a tube of aloe vera gel

Um, Sidney? I think you're just about done on that side, you might want to turn over! Maybe one of the staff can help you rub this in, to take some of the rosy glow out...

Smiles at Monroe the Bartender as he appears with a tall frosty glass of vodka & lime

Bless your heart, you sweet, sweet man.

Standing by the pool edge, big straw hat keeping out the sun, cherry patterned sundress ripping in the breeze

Wasn't going to come down today, or have a drink for that matter, but sometimes, you just have to take a time out and chill :)

I agree!

Brit bounds in, a black and white striped sundress covering curves and a large white hat keeping the sun off of brown shoulders

One should always take time to chill out. Hi everyone!

Gives Brit a big hug and kiss, signals to Monroe to bring Brit a vodka & lime

Hello, darling girl! Thought you were somewhere in deepest darkest family land?

Sundress and big straw hat? Good lord, we are two fashionable gals about the pool deck :)

Drains half her glass, hiccups delicately

I'm feeling rather whimsical tonight, Brit-o'-the-North ;)

You're right, I am deep in clan territory but thankfully it's been sunny and fun so far. Just popping in while little witches nap and I have a few minutes to myself.

takes the drink with a happy smile and sips with obvious enjoyment

After a hell of a long day on the road and in the air and on the road again, it was so good to see the house I grew up in waiting for us at the end.

And how's you, lovely?

Nod nods

Doesn't matter how old you are or how long you've been away, seeing your childhood home takes you right back there :)

Me? I'm okay.

Finishes glass, hands it back to Monroe and asks him to turn on the music

I do believe you owe me a dance, Mr Monroe.

With a deep bow, the bartender sweeps Essie into his arms, grinning as they start to take a turn around the deck

leans on the bar and watches with a smile

I do love the music in this place.

Turns over, contentedly, grateful for the cool Aloe and lively music.

Hello, Brit and Essie! I hope you're enjoying your holiday, Brit.

Thank goodness, Sidney! I thought I was going to have to tip your lounger into the pool to get you to wake up

The song ends and with another deep bow and a wink, Monroe returns to the bar to mix up another batch of delicious drinks

Nothing like a turn round the floor wrapped in the arms of a handsome man who is good with his hands and has access to alcohol, right, ladies? ;)

Absolutely! I'm sorry, I think I fell asleep in the sun. Fortunately, I don't tend to burn.

I wave to Essie, get up from the lounger, laugh at Monroe's puzzled expression of why I'm ordering straight-up OJ, and then slip into the salt water pool and wait for it to be delivered. Ahhhhhhh, this is heavenly.

It might be time for a veggie omelet, too. . .

Having heard the request for a veggie omelet, I turn around to verify I am at the correct pool. The invitation said to be here, if here is actually the here described.

Lippy, I don't know what you're talking about, maybe you've had too many mimosas. . .but if you come bearing an omelet, then you're at the right pool! Welcome and come sun yourself as you wish. . .it's a bit quiet here, but the sun is out and there's a light breeze.

Thank you Sidney, and unfortunately, I was not informed that this might be a BYOO or BMOO event, or an omelet might have been in my possession.

"Did someone say mimosas?"

"Hi everyone, hope it's okay that I stopped by" , ambling over to the bar in my denim shorts and white v neck t-shirt. Hopping up on one of the stools, and re adjusting my wide floppy brimmed hat. Making sure it hides the riot of curls that are threatening to burst free of their straw confines atop my head.

Mumbling to myself, "Last time I'll try putting bantu knots in this hair... stupid youtube, not gonna catch me again."

Wandering quietly up to a lounger overlooking the ocean, donning a light cardigan and wrapping a throw blanket round legs, sitting down and watching the sun start to set, Brit's fairy lights and lamps giving a warm glow

This is bliss......

Welcome, Tiny Duchess. I think all are welcome here to enjoy the sun, water, food, spirits, and each other's company.

It's morning in my corner of the world. . .so, I'm sipping a cup of rich coffee by the ocean, glancing at the waves as they crash against the shore as I finish up my writing. As usual, it seems I'm the first one at the shore/pool.

Good morning, all. :)

I move my lounger and coffee closer to Essie.

Hi, Essie!

Ahh, but the sun is rising over here. I think I missed you last night. Glad to see you here now. My writing is going well, thank you. I seem to write best in the morning. :)

I see that you're starting to do a bit of writing, too. How exciting!

That's the magic of Brit's Pool - can be sunshine on one side, sunset on the other ;)

Though I do seem to miss out on the barbecues.... *shrugs*

Yes, I'm giving it a go. Feels good to be writing again, didn't realise just how much I had missed it.

Wincing, pulls blanket up higher

I am getting a cracking headache, thought some sea air might help but not so much. Think I will try and have a snooze here, Sidney, hopefully be better company tomorrow.

Hugs

Have a wonderful evening, I'm sure some company will be along soon. If all else fails, I'm sure Monroe can keep you amused ;)

Okay, since it's quiet out here, i'm going to head out for a workout and a yoga class. Perhaps I'll catch you another day. Although this place seems rather isolated when I attend it.

I hope you feel better. Easy on those alcoholic beverages. ;) I usually match each one with a large glass of water.;)

Hi Ladies,

Thank you for the welcome Sidney. :) It's morning in my neck of the woods too.

I hope your headache subsides Essie. Closing your eyes for a bit may do you some good.

tiptoes over to Essie and places a piece of cold cloth on her forehead

I hope this brings you some relief. :)

Evenin' all. It's been a few days since I managed to inveigle my way in here past the razor wire and East German guards, and I like what everyone has done with the place. The enormous champagne fountain rising out of that scallop shell like Venus is an especially lovely touch. May I get anyone else a glass?

"Yes, please!"

Her eager voice is heard several long moments before she arrives on the deck. Today a long black, strapless, sundress flows down over curves.

"I would give just about anything for a drink right now!"

She smiles at all the faces, known and new alike.

Walking in, wearing my number 1 Brazil team T-shirt and a pair of white skinny jeans. My face stained with tears, after having watch the latest World Cup match.

"Hi everyone." I say struggling to will a smile to my lips. "Never thought I'd say this, but is there anything stronger than Champagne about? I think I need something the color of amber after what just happened."

Sniffling softly as I take a seat at the bar, a slightly dazed look on my face.
