It was time to shut down the computer, which she did, leaning back in the chair with a contented sigh, watching as the monitor turned to black. She was well pleased with her new thread. It held the promise of becoming wickedly delightful, once they fleshed out more of the plot.

Oh! And a new group thread to look forward to.

A new thread for M was pending as well.

It all made her grin.

A glass of wine, soft music and quiet. Maybe a bubble bath.

Yep. Fridays were golden.

Good Morning, darling.

Hopefully, I'll get my computer back today. Typing on chiclets is a pain. I see someone has found a wee bit of time to write. *squirm*

~ She sat back in her leather desk chair with a soft sigh, rubbing her temples gently. She glanced at her computer with a mixed look. She was satisfied and she wasn't. She needed a break from writing. Just for a bit. Maybe she would get back to it tonight, but for now, she needed to walk away. She hated leaving Crix but her head was pounding. The RW was invading. Another wistful sigh and she got up and headed for the kitchen.

In the RW, she was still without her desktop comp and now she had to ponder dinner....

~sighs softly because it was as she feared, the hard drive gave out and shouldn't have. So, it's off the shop that sold it to her to see if she can get her money back for it. Going to go elsewhere for hard drive. So tired of this shop. Another week, maybe two, before the computer takes up residence again.

Local small time shop? Chain?

OEM part, or package retail?

Tigerdirect, newegg are great online sellers.

Mircocenter, if you have one near you or their online store is also great to look at.

What kind of harddrive was it?

Hi Jack..

Yeah small business. They were great to start with. I've been taking my computers to them for s few years now. The quality, work and parts, has gone downhill over time in my opinion.I took a chance and had a refurbished, recertified drive put in. It was a 1 TB Sata2. We took a hunch and googled it. It has a host of problems. What happened to my comp was exactly as they described it. In any case, we're going to try to get the money back for the hard drive and already have my eyes on a new 1 TB from newegg. In any case, it's just a matter of waiting on pay day and the new hard drive coming in. I'm not known for my patience when it comes to my comp. Don't have much of a choice though.

Edit: It's a baracuda something or another. In any case, bad ju-ju.

Monday again. *soft sigh, a quiet sip of coffee* Beautiful day. Except. Except for the fact that my brother's computer's power supply seems to have given up the ghost. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Things always happen in threes. Praying that the third isn't so bad really. The good thing is tomorrow I can order my hard drive and hopefully get my computer up and running shortly. Hopefully we can cannibalize my old one and fix the brother's.

There are times I want to throw my hands up in the air and say, "Why me?" But I refrain. Lessons. Always lessons. Big or small. Earth shattering or tiny quivers. Things always happen for the lessons. At least, I still have my notebook to fall back on.
