I had a wearable. It was the InPulse smartwatch. From what I understand, basically the first smart watch out there. It was pretty cool. I enjoyed it. But the battery died, so it turns on and connects for all of about 25 minutes. So, basically useless. It was $150 when I got it. Much more reasonable than the Smart Gear. But there's a whole market for that stuff now. I should look into more options.

steampunk cons? which ones? I am into steampunk, thinking about TeslaCon.
Ive only done one so far. It was called steamtopia. I guess it used to be the biggest Con in Michigan but it kind of petered off. I guess its starting to grow again from what Ive heard. Id like to do teslacon but I cant get the time off to go. There was a steampunk nerf war in Ohio but I had to work and missed it. I did this repaint for it though
I have heard of steamtopia.
Wow, is that as heavy as it looks?
I do steampunk events at sci fi cons, and a bunch of free standing ones around here. Steam punk was a bit more fun for me about 5 yrs ago before everyone was doing it. We had an event recently where people dressed "Steampunk" wearing Renaissance corsets. I prefer to stick to the age of steam, Victorian/Edwardian based costumes. Our local Renaissance Festival is having a steampunk day which I find just weird.
No its pretty light. Probably no more then 5 pounds. I figured If I had the 1860s clothes already I could give a Con a try and not be out any money. I had a blast. Real cool group of people. I reenact artillery so the guys putting on the con want us to bring the cannon next year. Theyre all sorts of excited
Very cool! Is Up in the Aether still going and that one in Dearborn? I thought I saw Up in the Aether on Steam Powered Giraffe's site as list of upcoming gigs. SPG are so cool and very nice guys, if you ever get a chance to hear them play and/or meet them.
I am glad that I clicked on that link. *smile*
The Cult of the InPulse might be the only group more fervent in their devotion to a product than Mac fanboys.
Sometimes I get bored I go on the internet and search up different topics like "The Crimean War", "Distant galaxies", or "The Mind of Serial Killers". I'm weird like that.
If you like Babylon 5, the Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5 is mandatory reading as a companion to the show. If it looks like something from the mid 90's, it's because the website was updated while the show was still airing from 1994 to 1999. Why fix something that isn't broken?
Otherwise, I mostly just surf TVTropes. Warning: it will use up more of your time than porn does.
Agreed.
And, hey sister!!!!
ETA: JtohisPB here, got a new nick.
I see yours, too, of course. I love the posts of you and hubby's chats, lol.
