I probably posted something about Ginsberg's poem Kaddish, which proved to be an expensive book as I had to go to the US to buy it. Though I did decide to have a holiday and visit a friend while I was there.

He is probably one of the greatest Englishmen that ever lived, totally misunderstood and subject of lies and black propaganda. Accused of being an extremist while being a moderate, he was as much against the Presbyterian leadership as the Catholic hierarchy and accused of doing things in Ireland he never did. He let your clan back into England too because he liked you. Was that a good thing?

Kaddish is the book that made Ginsberg a poet of more than one poem. Kaddish is good.

You should read Tom Reilly's, Cromwell, An Honourable Enemy and Philip McKeiver's A New History of Cromwell's Irish Campaign. Though their are historians claiming these books are revisionist but it's not surprising as Reilly exposed respected historians of having made assumptions based myths that appear to have started by a nationalist Catholic priest 150 years after Cromwell's death rather than studying the primary evidence. Cromwell will always remain controversial because he upset too many vested interests and it was in the interests of too many people to blacken his reputation after his death. Later it was in the interest of Irish nationalists to accuse him of crimes there is absolutely no evidence he committed. Somehow without evidence we are expected to believe he had a personality change halfway across the Irish sea and that his personality changed back on the return route. He ended up on the wrong end of history so he has been a convenient target. However, those that question this personality change have been waiting a long time for evidence to be produced that he is guilty of what he is accused of but no one really expects any evidence to be produced. The controversy will go on and on.
