The New Isolated Blurt BDSM Thread

I actually did have a dream last night in which I killed large spiders (scary scary). I woke up and found myself wanting to cover myself head to toe in blankets so as to not be attacked in my sleep. Needless to say, I didn't sleep well and suffered this morning.

Misery loves company? :p
But I am sorry you didn't sleep well...

Blurt: I found a kitten this morning! She weighs one pound
I probably won't sleep well tonight, either, but now I have something to handle the spiders. Thank you, universe! :p

I have made the gluten free pastry, bought the meat, done most of the shopping, and laid out clothes for a seven am airport pick up. So just before tem pm seems the perfect time for guest to cancel.

( I am wondering if I should be annoyed instead of pleased that I get the weekend with G as usual? )

I'm not sure if commiserations or congratulations are in order?
I'll go with... I'm sorry your plans didn't work out!

Oooooo! Kitten! (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Hehe, certainly the universe is looking out for you. Your new kitten (if you're keeping it) will patrol the borders of you house and kill anything that moves. It will protect you loyally, and in the cold months keep you warm. :D

Kitten's view: I will play with things with no regard to the sanctity of life. I will sleep on the bigger cat and leech its warmth. (=^x^=)

How can you talk about spider babies landing on you so calmly?

I'm pretty sure I'll have to bring protective gear if I ever cross the ocean. Coming from a country with exactly one (mildly) poisonous snake and one (mildly) poisonous spider, I'm not equipped to deal with things like that.

Until my body started to seriously give out on me, I was a hand-weaver (by love and semi-vocation). Check out the mythology about Arachne if you don't know it; there's a definite connection. I've always liked spiders anyway. :)

One day, when I was beginning to think seriously about weaving for income, I was thinking about names. A wolf spider had started hanging out on my loom, and I happened to notice him getting bounced around as I worked. Long story short, I named my biz "Dancing Spider Webworks." A friend even drew me a nifty logo with a tap-dancing spider (complete with top hat) for my hang tags. :)

Tiny kitten.

Well, she found the right person, huh? I find the best place to put kittens is right on my chest in bed, it does mean no wriggling or side sleeping for me for a while. They can tell me when they need help showing where the litter tray is, or if they are hungry, AND....they learn an unnatural to them diurnal rhythm. The comfort of sleeping against me keeps them contented. My cats still like to sleep nights all the way through with very few exceptions, which is really helpful. I do something similar with puppies. Its been a few years since we had a baby. ( little dog puppy).

My ex and I visited my in-laws one time, not long after one of their cats had kittens. Ex's brother was hand-feeding them when mama cat disappeared. (Outside cat) My ex was laying on the floor playing with the kittens, and his brother dribbled some of the 'kitten brew' onto his nose and forehead. Those babies made a beeline and tried to lick his face off. We were all laughing so hard we couldn't help. (So was he.) :cattail:

Cold months? Here? I should be so lucky :p
And heck yes, I'm keeping her! I'm already convinced she is the reincarnation of a beloved kitty I lost. She hit the stray kitty jackpot with me

My chest is already her favourite spot :D
And I'm used to sleeping without wiggling... ;)

Too cute! There's just no defense against little kitties :D

Cold months aren't much here, either. Still, when the weather grows "cold" the cats enjoy leeching warmth from us.

I'm a little paranoid right now. I figure it'll be this way for a bit before I forget about last night.

We were laying in bed, I had just turned out my light as Mister was still reading. Our little cat was going back and forth trying to decide if she wanted to sleep with us or stay up and play. I had just started to get comfy when Mister says to me, "I need you to leave the room for a minute." Concerned I looked at him.

"Wha..?" (; ̄O ̄)

I followed his gaze to our cat sitting on our dresser, and her gaze looking up at the wall.

(;゜0゜)Spider!

Mister laughed and told me to leave again while he took care of the situation. I left the room and listened for the safe to return signal.

The image of the huge (really fuckin' HUGE) spider on the wall is fresh in my memory. So now I look up when I enter rooms and check for webs and crawly thingies.

Mister told me as soon as he knocked it off the wall our cat jumped after it. I suppose I can rest easier knowing I have such vicious pest control. (=^ェ^=)

Nonononono!
Super yucky no way ick!

I can only agree with Niam here.
I'm not a fan of spiders.

Our house is old and there are some really big spiders here sometimes. Wolfspiders can get really big and scary.
I suppose they do good work in that space between floors. (Sub floor? I have no idea what it's called in English. Trossbotten in Swedish and Blindboden in German, I think.)
If they show up where I can see them though, they need to be dead and gone, pronto!

I think you nailed it with Kitten's view.
Reminded me of my brother's comment when he was six or so, looking at our beloved and rather diabolical cat and stating that if she were human, she wouldn't be a very nice one.

Can anyone point me to a thread where masochism has been discussed? Didn't want to make an extra thread because of this.

All help appreciated.

Two years and a few fresh bundles of love down the road, and I still found myself bursting into tears when they put me in the same exam room where we put me beloved kitty girl down. Ouch.
