Sadly, full recovery is probably not going to happen . She has developed megaoesophagus. We have had no symptoms of it at home, and she has no neurological indicators. So my vets are trying to find why this could be the case. But prognosis is pretty guarded. I think its better to be realistic about expectation.

We can buy her a special chair to feed her in, . Because she must never reach down for food or water again. ( she eats from a raised food and water bowl already, so it may have concealed problems) but she LOVED eating from our hands this evening, and even more, found being allowed to the table incredible. I have always been pleased not to have begging dogs, but now will be encouraging it, to keep her upright after meals, so food travels in the right direction.

She is a very wonderful girl however, and while this evening she is much happier, I will not let her linger if she is how she was earlier when we collected her. I want the same consideration.

When our first cat developed kidneyproblems with old age, we tried special food and stuff when in retrospect we had to realize that we held on too long, for our sake and not for her.

I hope you get into a good sleep pattern soon. Pressure makes me really sleepy often. . I have barely been able to keep my eyes open this week/weekend.



I feel more awake this morning, . Ready to get into a better routine and try and start factoring in the current demands into my schedule. Grateful I have a schedule that can easily encompass these demands. And definitely ready to sort of the bird nest that used to be my hair. The cat made a bed for herself in it last night

:sigh: I'm finally being responsible and getting the filing cabinet under control. So far color coding, sub categories and dates are mostly in order. It is started, but not really up to the standard I want. I still have a bunch of old paperwork to go through. Deciphering Mister's original organization was... Well, he's organized for him. I've made it more accessible in a universal sort of way.

ETA: We've got tornado watches going on here right now. We're on the fifth floor. I'm sincerely hoping we don't all get blown out the window later tonight.
