Winter is here. I know this because there is a thin, but noticeable, layer of snow on my car this morning.

Back is mostly back to being right now. Still using the cane when i walk long distances but can do little jaunts to the shops and back now without it. woo!

I am feeling better! Of course, I haven't been outside yet but, the coughing is abating slowly but surely so that is the main thing.

It is really rather cold isn't it? No snow here, but have dug out my long winter boots and my serious winter coat. And just bought the snuggest ankle-hugging slippers

Amusingly, I pit-stopped by a close friend's house, and the words out of his mouth were along the lines of 'You don't sound like your dieing as much'. So sweet.

After Mindfondler’s thorough review of Sexpo, I thought I would do a slightly shorter review of Camden crunch.

I went on Friday with Master – I have been twice before but never been able to stay very long. This time we took precautions and booked a nearby apartment

First thing to say is it is hard to find the entrance if you haven’t been before and been initiated in how to find it. Basically go down the least likely looking dingy canal path and you will find it. You pay on the door – a real bargain at £3!

It kicks off at 8pm. Sometimes they organise a pre-Crunch event from 6pm for newbies, so you can meet people if you don’t know anyone that is going.

There are two separate areas: a bar for general chatting – rather munch like really. And then the main room which also has a bar and a dance floor and very loud music.

You can dress how you wish and you will find a real mixture. From those in jeans, to those in latex, and everything inbetween.

There are usually two DJs for the evening and the music seems to cycle through hip hop, then grunge/metal, then cheesy crowd pleasers (think Come on Eileen) and then back to grunge and then hip hop. But I think it varies a bit. A nice feature is that you can request tracks via the relevant group on Fetlife.

There is a lot of energy being expounded on that dance floor. Being petite, I had to be careful to steer clear of the most boisterous antics. Also a lot of grinding and general dirty dancing

The party goes on until 2am and then it is time for bed. Nothing ever good comes of making decisions after 2am. Trust me.

Aaww! Well, if you are still stuck in London the latter half of the week there are friendly munches on Thursday and Friday I can PM details to you. Think I will only make it to the Friday one this time.


I apparently have a package waiting for me at a sorting office as the sender didn't put enough postage on it. I am debating whether it is junk mail or something exciting and therefore worth paying the surcharge for... hmm. Maybe I can ask them to inspect it to see who it might be from before I pay...?

Excited that I am going to see a cousin tomorrow who I haven't seen in 20 years

Made it four hours into an eight-hour work shift, then floaty-oddness feeling happened so I went home. Which may be one of two things; still recovering from being ill, and forgetting to eat since 10pm the previous day (I left work at 4pm). I'm starting to try and get myself into the habit of carrying snacks with me - I don't intentionally forget to eat, it is just something that happens if I am focussing on a lot.

So glad to read this Malich.
You may know that once you have injured your back you are at risk for reoccurrences. Take care. Be wise. Lift with your legs, etc. Use the cane as long as you need it. Pride is of no use to you in this.

This is an old injury, did it to myself when I was 20 shifting a piece of steel I really should have had help for. And now I am a safety officer who teaches Manual Handling among other things

Another early morning. Heading into London proper for a day of fun and frolics on my favourite site... or that's what I am telling myself. If i say I'm going to the place where I want to stab one of the managers in the throat every time he talks I might get myself into trouble
