Surely an oxymoron - weak Yorkshire tea!
Just sinking a pint now... tea bag left in for ages!
Hahaha, I had a nice northern colleague say to me once when I was making them tea and wondering how long to leave the tea bag in for
"That tea bag needs to make a commitment to that tea. You just leave it in a good long while."
Loved the idea of a teabag making a commitment
What a great comment! My teabags are some of the most committed in Yorkshire I think, often found still in the mug when the tea is long gone!
I must admit that in all my wandering a around Yorkshire I never yet found the tea plantations they make Yorkshire tea from, but the cheese is not bad, Gromit!
Just testing the water really.....nothing concrete....
Would any of you travel to me for a meet up? Too far?
Lol if I put on a good enough spread? .
With Belle? Maybe on a Saturday in November? And Lucy, and master Nick if he were able, and one other, a very nice person I have met from GB, if I trust enough to invite to my house.....
Have you and Lucy met yet? Could be the opportunity.

Yes, I swap pretty quickly these days. She's a pony, a little rescue pony. She just became mine. She and her filly foal.

It's a possibility for Mrs MF and me, although we have a few things going on at the moment that might make it difficult. In any case, thanks for the thought. In principle, we'd enjoy the opportunity to reunite with and make new direct Lit acquaintances.Just testing the water really.....nothing concrete....

Yes, she is tiny though, only about 13/13h2. Difficult to tell right now, her feet need trimming badly and she is not in great shape. She's been here a few weeks and looks better that she did when she arrived. The plan was to get her and her filly put of where they were as far as I knew ( a friend got them) the plan was not for me to fall in love. But it was my friend's plan she says. I am looking at a carriage at the weekend, it could become an expensive hobby I think. I miss riding and horses as I cannot any more, and since my girls ( my big girl and my polo pony) died ( old age..a couple of years ago I have felt sad but had no reason to do anything about it....as I cannot ride now)
.
My wonderful husband, and this is an example of why I love him so much, is saying, 'it's not healthy to have just the mare and foal. We should get another couple, to make a better heard structure'. I love him so much. I might contact a horse rescue and offer to take a baby to keep moon foal company. It's Ll such early days and I am in no rush at all.
They do. I will never replace the special girl. She was bought to qualify and sell, but she never left.
This girl is a rescue. Her feet are very long, she has horrid rainscald ( healing really quickly now she has some nutrition). She was 'loved' I think, but by someone unable to meet her needs from both capability, knowledge and mental health. She is a proper 'traveller's pony" and has sad dead eyes, but they are starting to sparkle, and she follows me around like a little doggy. She loves to be brushed ( I think she has sweet itch, something il have never dealt with first hand, so that will be interesting)
My friend ( who rescued her) said they had two sections of hay a day between five ponies, on a bare paddock. They are certainly going to be good doers, but it's not enough for a mother. I won't be able to throw them in afield in the future as I have now ( along with a stud feed balancer and hay in the barn on the yard) but for now it's doing the trick. To gain weight while feeding a foal many would wean is something.
I don't wean at six months. It's always worked for me to leave them on longer. If the mare is in foal I am guide my her, and if not, I feed for the two of them, but will introduce work foal at foot. It hurts neither. In this instance I will wean at some point, because I cannot do the driving training. So the filly will go to a friend at some point. I wish I inew someone else with babies, She is desperate to play.
