Currently 13º F here, "feels like" -8º, and light snow. Ex-wife #3 posted a screen grab of *her* temp this morning: -34ºF. She spent the first 35 years or so of her life in the South, where a forecast of possible snow flurries (no accumulation) would result in all the local grocers immediately selling out of milk, bread, etc.

Hehehe, that sounds like here every time there is snow. England grinds to a halt in anything over 3 inches.
Trouble is, it's so rare, no one has snow tires or chains, and we all slide around on ice rink roads. -34 sounds brutal! I can't imagine how that must feel.
The same weather system is bringing us storms and floods. Some places have been underwater since Christmas. I am glad we are high up here.

Hotel is ok. left my phone in the site office in a masterstroke of intelligent planning, with luck it`ll still be there in the morning. bought 24hrs of expensive internet access to let me chat to my wife instead so you lucky folks get a message too.

on the plus side, they upgraded me to a room with a window. my first ever hotel in stockholm with that luxury!

had my traditional international pizza (italian food, with french fries, served by eastern europeans, in a swedish city, eaten by an englishman, reading an american book on a japanese e-reader.) as its about the only food i can afford here and am now fast drifting towards the realm of sleep as i have to be up early again tomorrow for another silly long day.

I'm very surprised by some of the comments made in a posted thread for example the one i quoted from hampshiregAy8

There is no right or wrong as such, there are certainly different schools of thought where D/s is concerned. Whatever works for you as long as it is safe for you and your partner is right.
Think safe, sane, consensual.
With a partner you will develop a unique dynamic, the trust comes with time

Go on fetlife and read, alot!
Figure out what your interests are and learn from people who have been doing those things a long time and know what they are talking about.

When you have found that "thing" that you are looking for, ask questions, learn about it, go to workshops.
