... I have my own house where I snuggle in and embrace sleep in peaceful bliss until the sunshine wakes me.

And failing that, my Nest is always just around the corner ... if you fancy a change of scene that is ... your place or mine ... either suits ... *ggls*

Afternoon all. I am not here that long, just waiting for my daughter to wake so we can go swim

-As HF calls out I turn to grab my ol' buddy in a friendly hug. My lovely sweet friend Yeishia is most certainly next after all the hugs, kisses and love sent to me. Mari is then quickly wrapped in a warm blanketing embrace. Letting all free of my very exuberant group hug of the wolfish kind with a deep chuckle-

Yes... As I remember the windows of the Nest let lots of sunshine in. Always a plus in my book. You should see the view of the sun setting over the mountains from my place sometime soon. I think you'd like it.

Thank you but I'm okay with my hot chocolate. Lots of people I haven't met yet so don't want to be a gooseberry!

If there are lots of people you haven't met then it is the best possible time to introduce yourself and get to know them Essie. People come into the Inn to socialise; that is to meet up / reunite with people they already know, but we also love to get to know new people... that is what the Inn has always been about ...

Essie... I think that you'll find the folks here are pretty welcoming as well as fun to banter and play around with. It's a quick witted lot, so don't be afraid to jump right in.

Linen to wash, rooms to air.... and I don't know what the heck someone did in Room 1 last night but

Finding my way back to the Inn for a cup of morning coffee, I shuffle to the pot and pour myself a cup of the strong brew.

"Good morning Essie, and to any who may be lurking about." I take a sip and feel the caffeine begin to do its job. "Glad to hear it Essie, and as for the rooms... well sometimes it's best not to ask too many questions. If all the furniture is still in one piece, consider yourself ahead of the game." Laughing quietly as I take another sip of coffee.

i slip quietly into the Inn with a soft " good morming " for those who are already about. Sleepily I put on a fresh pot of coffee to perk while I fetch wood from the court yard to stack beside the fire place, after which I tend to the fire. Gently bringing it back to life.

I set out the freshly baked cookies on a plate and rplenish the hug bucket.

Finally I pour my own mug of the much needed elixor and make myway to the couch where I curl,up to enjoy my drink.

Hot , strong, perfect...

There's a few dings and scratches but nothing a good sandpaper polish and lick of varnish won't cure.

*pours a big glass of water, dips into the hug bucket and sits on couch with Yeishia, sharing the spoils*

I return the hug and pass her a mug of hot chocolate , realizing that it is her bedtime I had stealthily made her some.

"I was back reading your gooseberry comment, those are my favorite fruit I haven't had them since I lived in England."

I smile softly at her.

"honestly Essie participate when you feel ready.

I giggled at HF and Mari's comments when read them, I have been here for years and simply cannot keep up with the witty back and forth banter he spoke of...my typing skills are to slow.

As to the flirting I give it a shot now and again but fail miserably most of the time flirting with those I barely know doesn't come easily to me either."

I blush remembering my failed attempts.

" I shall leave the banter and flirting to those who excel at such things. I sometimes wish I were more like Mari, effervescent and out going. I consider myself lucky that she is here. it takes the pressure off of me to participate more..."

My voice trails off as I think of the many times I have made a fool of myself here with my lack of decent conversation. In my eyes my being shy was rarely a good thing.

I listen to her kind words relaxing as she speaks happy that I have made her feel welcome, I did not have many female friends here on Lit and to find That I might have made another warmed my heart.

Most of the female friends I did have frequented the Inn upon occasion, some more than others of course; Lisa, Mari, LT, Asa and now Essie. I was a lucky girl indeed.

I found myself smiling as I did as she bade popping my feet up and sipping my coffee content just to be this Monday morning.

" thank you Essie , you are to kind..." I whisper softly.

The sun is low on the horizon a dim hazy golden globe sinking ever closer to the forested crest of the mountains as I catch sight of the Inn as I crest that last ridge line.

It has been a long two weeks and many miles have been traveled, many days spent in educational pursuits. I smile as I enter the Inn the fresh brewed coffee the wood piled by the hearth. The fragrance of freshly cleaned wood. I can see that Yeishia and Essie have kept the Inn spic & span ship shape and in Bristol Fashion.

I drop my old rucksack and pour myself a Jameson 1780 thankful to be once back at the old China Pearl Inn.
