I slip quickly into the ChinaPearl to tend to my chores after which I pour myself a mug of coffee and settle in front of the fireplace to drink the heavenly brew. thank goodness it is Friday. One more week and I am on vacation.

Making good use of some free time this afternoon, I finish splitting some wood for the Inn and bring in a load to stack by the fire. At least CG can be spared the cutting and stacking of wood here, if not in the RW.

"Afternoon all." I call out, "Happy 4th!"

Seeing it's quiet, I head to a chair with my dogeared pad in hand to do a little writing.

*Walks in with a large stuff Panda with a stars and stripes T-shirt on for Yeishia and stars and stripes cookies in a large plastic tub I set on the counter for everyone else.*

I am.. very relaxing.. and I got to talk with my best friend for what seems like ages... so that's good too. I hope your's is going well... leaving the chores behind for a bit at least?

Not too bad, thankee... Spent the morning at the pool with the kids breaking in a new suit (darn thing won't be worn to a neighborhood pool again though... ), afternoon tearing apart by office, and getting ready for a big BBQ with family. Fireworks are on the docket for the evening of course.

Fireworks and BBQ never fail for fun... enjoy them!

I did... a very nice day... And thankfully... I can see the fireworks off the deck... so I don't even have to drive to get there!

Thanks H F I do believe we need to remember. As they say freedom does not come cheap. I never knew either of my Grand Fathers as they died from war wounds, one as a result of Gas the other from the loss of a kidney.
