The new Captain America movie!
Being spotted by AJ
Bacon sandwiches
Oooh, nice. Do you put mustard on yours?
I don't, although Mr Brit has been known to put ketchup on his.
I think I could happily eat nothing but bacon. I wouldn't live long. But I'd be happy.

Bacon is perfection! And for some reason I just love Colman's on bacon sandwiches, but then I love it on everything.
I was telling someone about a recipe for maple glazed pork belly the other day. Not the same register, perhaps, but still worth trying!
That sounds a-ma-zing!

Hmmm, I wonder if I can find a maple based BBQ glaze/marinade. First big BBQ of the season on Thursday...that'd be pretty yummy me thinks.
Can you get maple syrup there? Honestly, maple syrup goes so high that I don't bother half the time. I'll keep a bottle around forever and allow no one to touch it until I finally decide to use it.I think brown sugar does it just as well, although I do have a maple-lacquered bacon recipe that knows no substitute...
Ah! Any recipes planned? Post them in the recipe thread! That one is one of my favorites, I'm always peeking for new recipes.
You can get it here. At least, I'm sure you can.

I think I'll be making some tikka style chicken kebabs and some homemade burgers with blue cheese inside. Will, of course, add the recipes to the thread!
I love sharing them too!
Oooh, kebabs. And blue cheese! God, if I could live on a diet of good cheese - I'd be set. I'm actually learning to grill this summer; if you have any pointers, could you share? It's embarrassing how long it's taken me to learn.![]()

Bacon is perfection!

I totally understand about cheese. Totally!

And with grilling...if you have a gas powered thingy then it's pretty easy to get the hang of. Once you know your grill, the hot spots and such, you quickly learn where to put things and for how long.
Cooking with flame is more difficult but again, it's about having a good base and cooking the things that take the longest first. Make sure the fire's burnt down enough before you start so that things aren't going to burn on the outside and be raw in the middle. Fatty foods (sausages, burgers) should be done last because they'll make the fire flame and eventually kill it.
And with big pieces of chicken etc, there's no harm in starting things in the oven first to make sure people aren't going to get pink pieces - especially if kiddies are eating what you cook.
Then have some bananas wrapped up in foil, with some chocolate pieces pushed through slices in the skin to leave in the ashes to cook while you eat. Instant dessert!![]()
Scuttle Buttin' said:'Someone' she says. Like I'm just a piece of meat to her.
A piece of... bacon?
I am a vegetarian but totally agree.
I still love the smell of it and fondly remember its delectable yummy taste.
Just thinking about a plate of the sinful stuff, imagining me tasking a forbidden bite is enough to make me...

Ah, missed this, sorry! And my brother-in-law said that bacon was his gateway meat when he started eating meat again. I think they even sell t-shirts saying that phrase! I don't know if I could live without it, more power to you!

* giggles*
If a vegiebaconaraian were a viabel option, I would probably be one.
It is defiantly a sadistic meat. * squirms*
