This weekend it's been about time.

Attended my first book convention today. I finally got to meet some of my online friends, got pics taken with hot cover models, and bought entirely too many books and got them all signed. It was beyond amazing.

But really, can one ever buy too many books? Nah...

This is a day old, but I parcelled up a friends birthday present and, on a whim, wrote the address in verse. It was hard to get the postcode to scan - I'm going to feel a bit of a tit passing it over the post office counter, but the grin on her face when she sees it will be something to see - which I, unfortunately, won't....

Husband: Did you see what I bought? On the counter.

Me: looks, blinks Did a genie come in that?

Husband: It's a wine carafe!

Me: You bought another wine carafe?

Husband: We don't have a wine carafe.

Me: We did have one, for years. Wendy gave us that one, new in the box because she never used it. And we put it in the cupboard over the fridge and never used it, remember? When we moved, you finally gave it to your co-worker who drinks wine.

Husband: Well, now I drink wine!

Me: Ooohkay... So, let me get this straight: you're going to pour all your wine from one glass container into another glass container - ungainly glass container - and then pour it into your glass?

Husband: It's not ungainly!

Me: How much does that thing hold, anyway?

Husband: And I'll pour it from the box.

Me: I mean, if we had big dinner parties, or something ...

Husband: We could have dinner parties!

Me: No, I'm good with not.

Husband: grabbing me for a hug and a nuzzle You wanna be my genie?

Me: grins Oh, maybe if you pour me a glass of wine...
