Working security today....
So I'm at my post right next to the stage, answering a question from one of the other security guys, I turn around and boom.
Chester. Fucking. Bennington. Standing like two feet from me smoking a cigarette.
I talked to Chester Bennington and got a fist bump from him. Then I got to stand on stage (well off to the side of course) while they played.
I gotta say.... I never, ever, imagined that happening.

The last few days have just been emotionally charged but good for me. A lot of things are resolving and I am taking stock of just how lucky I am.
It has been a long long time since I have been able to be truly hopeful and positive about my life. The future is looking bright for the first time in years. I've long since removed most of the toxic people in my life, and now my health is becoming stable.
Everything is falling into place. My endurance is being rewarded.
All of this makes me smile.

It was a roaring success. After a bumpy start things went really well. Lots of money raised, lots of kilometres cycled, lots of family bonding and lots of laughing.
A great day really.
