Things that made you swear today.

A head cold.
A migraine.
Another visit to the ER.
Another series of X-Rays.
Another f*ing knee brace.
And another 6 damned months of therapy.

...I might have said a few curse words.

Why does cold weather make people drive like suicidal lunatics?

Aw you can't get away with that. Spill . . .

Okay I was online and then I saw this fan video of Stanley Kubrick's A clockwork orange that some kid did as her school project. It was awful. They were emo kids failing to understand the point of the book and movie and it's pretty messed up when Alex is being played by an extremely androgynous girl with a horrible fake accent. I almost felt like I was being raped watching the video. Oh god why???

I barely made it through the video...

You are right Hikari-San. Some things just should never be.
*holds head and gouges at eyes*

The only possible thing that can be said is that not many adults understand either Orange or Kubrick's' work, so the kids aren't alone . . .

Amended for last night: Coming home to find a busted water heater and water leaking all over the floor.

Yes, just when I had sold my other house, coming out of pocket another 6500 bucks after having to remodel the damn thing twice because of renters who trashed it, all to the tune of about 20 grand just to get it marketable. Now I was finally on track to get my emergency funds back up to normal and now this water heater crap! Another set back of at least a month!

Fast forward to today: The plumber can't get the old water heater out of the impossibly narrow confined space of the utility closet. He can't get another one in either. Putting in an inline model would be at least 2000 bucks plus require all sorts of permits and a vent hole through my roof.

Finally decide to put an electric water heater in the laundry room on the other side of the wall, but that has to be wired in, and now I wait for an electrician! The wiring has to be done before the plumber can come back and do anything. Maybe he can come back tomorrow, he says, but only if the electrician has been here first and done his thing. More permits, more delays.

I took today off work to be here for the plumber, but it is costing me to do so. Now it might be necessary to take time off next week too. No work, no getting paid! I'm losing money by not working, and also by having to pay out for an expense! Talk about DP!

Meanwhile, no hot water for dishes, laundry, showers, baths, anything! I feel so yucky and stressed right now. I don't even want to think dirty thoughts!

I want to write.. I really do..

There are ideas roaming about in my head, ideas that could potentially be very fun.
- SRP topics
- Brit's writing contest
- My Massacre post..

But nothing is coming out, I just can't put anything down on paper that is worth finishing (or even picking up again).

*le sigh*

Writer's block is a demon bitch..

The person who created PowerPoint and actually sold the world on the fact that it was a good idea........*yawns and dies of boredom*

That was me, Wednesday and Thursday.
Then I was reminded that just getting words down on paper helps.
Throw in a random twist, whatever you need to do to write anything at all.
Yes, it will probably be mediocre, but even if you never use a single word of it, it helps get through the block.

Holds up hand

Present

But I've never forgiven Kubrick for the horrendous travesty of 2001 so I admit I was extremely biased when I saw Clockwork Orange.

Getting called in to work at 6am this morning and thinking it was midday until I got off the phone and checked the time.

A major headache that hasn't left yet >.<

12 hours at work in the hot sun, on my feet.

12 more hours of the same shit to look forward to tomorrow, they've finally given me the standing shifts at the evac centre instead of constantly being on call.

I don't know which part I hated more but at least I'll be paid a bucketload and get my phone bill and credit card down somewhat.

*Goes to collapse somewhere nice and cool*

My son crashing his bike into my husbands truck leaving nasty scratches and thus ruining an otherwise peaceful Saturday morning......:(
