Things that piss you off?

My tax money being used to bail out Wall Street while top employees get enormous year end bonuses for running failing businesses.

People who push their religious beliefs on me, even when they know how I feel about religion. I can forgive someone who doesn't know me. However, when a person gets to know me AND they still want to shove their religious views down my throat.....golly, that just cheeses me off, and it is just rude to boot!

People who ''think'' they're funny but arent.

And, my toaster burns my toast again I'm gonna take it outside and put it out of its misery but shooting the hell out of it !

My brother, because he's a fucking horse's ass.

My husband, girls, and I had Thanksgiving dinner with my family on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and I got really, really tired of listening to him act like a dick to his fiancée.

As we were getting ready to sit down at the table, he said to her, completely out of the blue, "This is where I sit. I've always sat here, and I'm not giving my seat up for you because you ain't worth that much."

I mean, seriously, what the fuck? He continued in this vein throughout the evening. A lot of his behavior seemed like teasing, but it was definitely way more malicious than I'd be willing to put up with from my husband, and we both give as good as we get when it comes to teasing each other.

They're 32 and 22 and they've been together since she was 16 and he was 26 (don't even get me started on that!). If I could honorably break them up, I'd do it in a heartbeat because she deserves so much better. Or maybe I could kick him out of the family and keep her? :D

It's been five days and his behavior still pisses me off. If he pulls this shit at Christmas, I'm just going to say, "Fuck family harmony and the holiday spirit," and go off on his dumb redneck ass.

eilan, should it come to that--and given some things you've said in the past, i fear it may--i do hope you'll tell us about it.

Oh, I'm sure I will. :)

It bugs me because his fiancée is such a sweetie. My girls, my mom, and I love her to death. It's because I love her that I'd like to see her run like hell. My mom has actually told her as much.

i'll confess that i feel the same way about my BIL & his wife, to be honest. not that my BIL is a sexist pig who is in dire need of attitude adjustment but for other reasons that i don't wish to discuss just now.

point being: i can relate. :>

I think most of us have those family members who are just begging for at least a verbal bitch-slapping!

My best friend had an interesting Thanksgiving experience with her family. I've considered starting a thread about it--believe it or not, it is kinda sex-related--if I change the details enough to protect the guilty.

To steal a line from Frasier Crane: I'm listening....

And on the brother situation; I'm another who can totally relate. I only met my brother in law once, but still can't believe that he married my sister. It didn't last long, luckily for him and his two young daughters, and I only wish him well. (hell, I haven't spoken to my sister in at least 12 years, probably closer to 14.) What do they say....You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family.

Denae are we related? I haven't talked to my older sister in 3 years and then only because I was in the ER where she worked.

If it weren't for my mom, I probably wouldn't make much of an effort to see my dad or my brother.

Upper management

Don't you just love the way executives can manage a department with their view from 20,000 feet? They have no idea of the how things work in day to day operations, but feel compelled to make changes for the sake of change. "Hey, lets give this a try!" Whatever happened to getting input first?

Arghhhhhh !!!

Executives aren't allowed to lower themselves to speaking with hands-on workers because it would damage their better-than-thou images. Also, isn't a bit strange that those higher ups who were unable to avoid the disaster they got their companies into are capable of lifting them out of those messes.

We as mothers to teenage daughters are just soooo stupid. I mean like we know nothing, We havent been there
Seen it or done it...nor do we understand anything !!!

O and God/dess forbid you try and give them a compliment without them taking it the wrong damn way.

Damn...I feel like I'm talking to a fucking wall here!
