Rightguides 'policy' is firmly based on appeasement. Putin invaded Crimea and there was no adequate US response. For 20 years he has actively intimidated the Ukrainian people of Eastern Ukraine and the non Russians in Transnistria. The weak response led him directly to invade Ukraine. The US response was slow and limited; Putin upped the anti and decided to buy armaments from Iran - such models of good behavior. Then after losing many men he firstly brought in North Korean arms then their soldiers. At every single step of the way it has been Putin who has tried to intimidate and every single step of the way RG has preached appeasement.

You cannot appease despots like Putin. They always, without fail, take everything offered and demand more. Unfortunately Biden has been too slow and too indecisive. No announcements at all should have been made to warn Putin. Hitting him and his forces hard where it hurts most is the only option.

President Truman wanted to prevent the Korean War from becoming World War III. He succeeded. His mistake was to let Gen. Mcarthur try to conquer all of North Korea. That brought China into the war and prolonged it for another three years. During this time Walter Lippmann said Mcarthur should restrict his conquest to the southern half of North Korea. What remained of North Korea would be a buffer zone between the U.S. Army and China. It would be too weak to threaten South Korea again.
