The Chinese, in their haste to become the worlds factory, have managed to serious pollute virtually all their water sheds. To the point that in many cases the water can't be used for agricultural purposes. Consequently 35% of their food is imported and that number is rising.

Food and energy is China's Achilles heel. Eastern Siberia will only solve the energy problem.

90% of all tariffs collected during the first Trump administration were doled out as compensation to American farmers in red states, who were directly affected by retaliatory Chinese tariffs which had made their products unsellable in China. Trump turned a generation of farmers into couch potatoes who sat around watching Fox News all day. The absolute irony here: the idled farmers protested to the Dept of Agriculture that replacing 90% of their lost income was not enough, they wanted 100% to be made whole.

Insofar as Walmart goes, I view Trump tariffs as a "tax" that disproportionately targets the Walmart demographic (the lowest quartile of wage earners in America. Walmart sources the majority of their hard goods from China nowadays, in accordance with the Magic Hand Of The Market you used to promote. Now we're seeing that "unfettered capitalism" is not the panacea you promised us.

Side note: I haven't shopped at Walmart in years (with the exception of one lawn chair replacement that was 50% cheaper than Home Depot). I'm boycotting them because they unjustly fired you from your nascent career as a Walmart greeter simply for saying "I need to see your receipt, nigger!" one time. One freaking time! And the kicker: she wasn't even black! She was Samoan!
