Respect, respect, respect her. Be gentle. Don't push her on her self-image, don't try and fix her, or make her feel that she's wrong for being insecure. That insecurity of hers comes from overwhelming societal pressure and from key moments in her youth. Someone made her feel fat or ugly or not good enough when she was young and she's carrying that around as if she's broken.
