If I had a scanner, I might post some of my crappy drawings up for scrutinization,lol. Maybe I could take some decent pictures of it with my digital camera and upload them...
 
Argh, if only I could transfer the images from my head to paper! I mean, I can picture how I'd want to draw them in my head, and they look great, but my hands just can't convert it exactly the way I want it :mad:

(scanners are getting pretty inexpensive these days, but if you don't have much need a digital cam shot cam suffice)

I suppose it is not so strange... when one looks around the world...and sees the popularity over Thomas Kincade, the plethora of exceedingly dull automobiles in dull colors, the mindless television... and that here, a primary motive for compliments is the hope of a "hook up"..virtual or otherwise.:rolleyes:
Never-the-less it gives me the willies to see something(s) that do not even reflect the technical skill of the Kincades that I abhor.

"stylization" is one thing, lack of ability and technique is another.

Tom Wesselmann did it and did it WELL.

It is unfortunate that "Deviant" Art has the censorship that they do. There really is a B-R-O-A-D range of talent there. It is a bit cumbersome to search through and so far I have not found any conversations that spark my interest enough to jump in on... and not motivated enough to start my own.
 
The visually impaired (or the mentally impaired) keep crawling from the woodwork.
