You inspire me, my elvish friend with no facial hair. *giggles*
I think I will need to get more lost in my next story rather than worry about just getting it up to be read.
I have had two amazing, incredible roleplays via IM that just went on and on because we became so immersed in our characters and back story.
I used to role play Annisthyrienne as my main character with my best friend since high school through Yahoo chat. It was based on an old style paper, pencil, and dice role playing fantasy game called Arcanum. When his wife decided she didn't like me being his friend anymore, she made him dump me. That's why I first came to Lit, to try to find friends to role play that way with.
Things here are different, most role plays don't develop long enough to really get the history and backstory that I love. But it has it's appeal in it's own way. And I definitely have made friends here. I'm not going to talk about anybody's wife though.
Definitely take the approach I do with my stories. Write them because you love it and are having fun, not because you 'owe' a post. It should be something you want to do because you like it and enjoy it, not because it feels like an obligation.
I'd still love to find someone to role play with the way I used to, building a character up in a world from just starting out to having a great life.
