*Returning to my own safe place where I can write, I pull up the story and begin to re-read, organizing my thoughts and trying to pick up the direction I was going in before I was pulled away.
And then a new thought occurs to me as I realize that this place of mine is a metaphor for my life sometimes. My other place is Where Elvish Blood Sings. It contains my hopes and dreams, the idealistic setting I'd choose if I could. But this place is the more banal, ordinary common place. This place is just what life turns out to be sometimes.
How apropos that I chose the perfect setting. When life seems to be one big shit hole, what better place to be than in a privy.*
