Tihmmnmmish's Cuddle-Friendly Fireside Threadcast

I can understand why appearances may cause some persons to entertain suspicion, for example those who enjoy certain levels of name-recognition, but I can't see where I would have any cause to suspect anything other than people just don't like my prose. I'm just not very good with it, apparently, and I pay the price when I expose it. Seems very simple to me.

but I just had an idea, and I credit our discussion, and you, as a significant influence

Sigh ....... you never called me an influence

Lady I realise I got the end rhyme wrong I completely missed it but what did you mean by "and it's missing two words of the prompt"?

oh ... oh yes I forgotted ......but isnt that superficial compared to literary stuff? *presents little woe begone face*

'literary stuff' is just a fancy way to say 'killing time' between sessions with eager masterpainting partners.

lol you're a bad boy and I luvs ya

right now I am getting in a mucking fuddle over my lines in a Pantoum

Bad? For speaking a simple truth? Really, that's all life is: fucking or not fucking, looking forward to fucking, or refueling after fucking. But it's all fucking. Isn't that beautiful?

amen.

Let me know if you got my PM, cuz the thing was acting whacky.

26. Quotation #2
Write a poem that includes the phrase '"Sh! not so loud: he’ll hear you," Mary said.'

So, your poem has to contain:
Sh! not so loud: he’ll hear you," Mary said.

But, unless I missed something, yours had:
Sh! not so loud: he’ll hear you

So, you were missing:
Mary said

Ah, illustrated poems can be a real pain in the ass. Like I think I mentioned when you submitted them, you can do everything right and still have them rejected. Make sure you double check the sizes of the photos. Did you submit it on the form or by email?

Like someone mentioned on the other thread, the easiest way is for the poem and photo to be on a MS Word document.

...and just ignore ignorance...

I submitted on the form saying it had been sent by email and what email address it was coming from, I resized it before the words even went on it

If I were you, I would submit it again as an attachment using the submission form. I would PM Laurel, let her know the that you had tried it by email and are now trying it by the form. Ask her to let you know if she gets it.

I would keep my fingers crossed for you, but it is so hard to type that way!!!

sigh, I have to go get some work done.. oh, and pay on my fines from my daughter's truancy habit.

You know what really gets to me? As a parent of a 16 yo teenager who has a form of autism, I can not force her to get therapy or help to deal with her issues. In PA, the legal age of consent for treatment is 14. When she was getting violent with me, the psychiatric hospital sidestepped this issue when my daughter refused to sign consent at age 14. But, she is no longer violent, so I have no way to force her into treatment.

However, as a parent, I am responsible for her behavior. I'm financially responsible for fines she accumulates. (I owe over $30,000 in truancy fines, btw.) I've told her that as soon as she started working, she's going to be the one paying these fines. Luckily, the District Justice office feels that the school district is unreasonable in their habit of dishing out crazy, maximum fines and has put me on a very minimal payment plan of $25 every 2 weeks. The school will get their money by 2038.. or something like that. LMAO

I had called the school truancy officer last year, left several messages. Never got a return call. Finally, I got a hold of him and his response was, "It's not my job to help you get your daughter to school." During the hearing at the District Justice office, I had proof that the truancy officer was lying about when he issued the fines and when I got notice of being in danger of the fines and the judge wouldn't even look at it. (I got 2 fines attached to a letter saying that if my daughter missed 3 more days, I would be subject to fines.)

Wow! I guess I needed to vent all that! sorry!
It's just very frustrating. Things just don't make sense for people in my situation.. like when you get a small cost of living raise in disability payment and your other benefit is cut to compensate for the raise.
You think I could do that to my mortgage company? Well, you got this federal money to bail you out, so I'm going to deduct a % of my mortgage payment to compensate for your gain.

$30, 000!?

who carries around That Kind of Cash?

Sorry to hear of Annie's illustrated travails. Please fix the glitches by next showing.

Pleased to see my first illustrated didn't look as crappy as I feared. Maybe a bit busy and not as clear as the image I have, but it'll do. It's lots of fun and dang tricky too.

And, dear LS, you'll be pleased to know I have resisted entering one of the bad places.

Falling far behind on the penetration theme and the Internet Context adventure. Tonight. Tomorrow. Friday. Thereabouts.

Aghhhhhhhh everyboys illustrateds are going up and mine are flying around in the ether somewheres sobbbbbbb
