That's what I told him that friends can disagree and shouldn't be afraid to say so but he has now blocked me on Facebook and the poor woman who dared to agree with me. She is probably muttering about me now too as I noticed before he blocked us she was begging him to stay friendly with her.
I'll tell you what it was perhaps I was wrong
To set the scene I am used to him putting on Youtube videos of music and a lot of other stuff some of it risqué but all light stuff. This Youtube I clicked on like all the other and it was someones amateur vid of Tommy Cooper (an English comedian) dying on stage and the audience not realising it was part of his routine and laughing. I was shocked and outraged that it was even on Youtube I thought it was gross to even be on there and I said I was surprised at him for condoning it and passing it on.
It's the sort of thing I would boycott not pass on it's not nice watching and I can't get the dying face out of my mind
He (John) said I was silly to moan about it and he was fed up of having to justify what he posted on his own profile and blocked me

I'd say it's pretty obvious that the stoopid one ain't you. And I second Chippy that real friends aren't so silly and arbitrary. ;)
 
Thanks ladies I'm just a bit sad and to tell you the truth a bit knocked backwards that who I thought was a friend wasn't prepared to even discuss it just a 'Get out of my life and stay out' like my opinion is worth nothing. Good job I've got a snuggly blankie here to use in times of stress lol I blame Ron you know I used to be so meek and mild and he gave me confidence to stick up for myself!

you had every right to express your opinion
he had every right to disagree with it

i do believe that footage was shown at the time, though i might be wrong. i didn't see it and wouldn't want to.

i can see him not wanting to have to 'justify' what he puts on his own profile, that's a fair enough point, but to block you and another 'friend' seems stupid to me. he should have stuck to his preferences (if your argument didn't sway him) and then leave it up to you to visit his profile again or not. to have someone begging to remain his friend seems a pretty odd state of affairs too. did you express your thoughts to him privately or go all guns blazing on his wall thingy in public view?

Ermmmmm you might have a point there I didn't even think of doing it privately oops silly me I suppose he couldn't back down without losing face with all his friends which I might add are all women (we had joked before about him having a harem) butttttttt I didn't go in all guns blazing I was very polite saying exactly what I put before that I was surprised at him for condoning it. That's when the roof fell in on my head.
I've had other friends send me emails I didn't think were very nice and said so and they've just emailed back oops sorry didn't mean to offend you and that was the end of it

seems maybe he has this rep to live up to.

meh. don't lose sleep over it, hun. and if he's that important to stay in touch with, send him a pm/e-#mail if you can apologising for going there in public but that you don't apologise for what you said. if you can't contact him directly, maybe ask one of the others to pass your message on to him or post it on your own wall.

if you're real friends, seems daft for this misunderstanding to blow up this way and i hope you can both meet in the middle over it.

Sod that for a game of soldiers it's his loss. Actually I can contact him very easily as we are on the same internet provider, and I did contact him but not for me but for the other lady he blocked. I sent her a message saying I had asked him to take her back as a friend but she came up trumps and said she'd rather keep me and he was bang out of order!

etymology:

came up trumps... Bridge or Whist (when void a suit in a "trick" you can trump with the "triumph" suit and win the trick).

Bang out of order... Judge's gavel or the Speaker of the House's staff butt banging an out of order to unruly representatives.

I've had an idea for quite a number of years now, and like most ideas this one remain unpursued, and hell, it's possibly been done dozens of times by now... anyway it entails The Last Fuck. Except for those who have never fucked, the one thing all have in common is that they/we will someday somehow have a last fuck. It is quite a thought. I think it's essay potential. We get lax and so readily assume. There was once a time when I ached for nothing but sex and went without, or not even sex, but the nearness of the sex goodies, a touch or a whiff or a look. Now it is no longer an unattainable agony, and I've grown to take the nearness for granted. Maybe it should be a crime. Maybe it is.

Maybe not even so much as a poem but poetry Or as if each day and each moment is an ongoing poem or wordless poetry? Musical? Symphonic? Drama? Tragedy? Comedy?
A feeling.

Elation.
Surrender.

Ain't much of a challenge guy, but if someone wanted to do something with it... could be interesting.
