That's what I've heard too. I've already decided that the right nipple gets the first honors, actually. Oh and I just got off the phone with the piercing studio. I had to find out the cost first to see if it was even worth all of my thoughts on the matter. Well, its worth the thoughts....$45 to get the one pierced. Now I just have to decide I can stand the needle. That's really the only thing holding me back....well and the money right this second, but that I can budget for.

I'm actually all tingly just typing this out. Wow I like this feeling!!

I know this is easier said then done, but I will say you'll never know if you never try. I mean what do you have to lose. Ok you'll have a hole in your skin, if you don't want it let it heal up. And I am sure you have gone through some painful things in your life. Hell I think period cramps are more painful then peircings. BUT I will say PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research before you get it done. I am talking about research on the person who is going to peirce you. Talk to people that that person has peirced before, make sure that person has done that type of peircing before. Believe me I know this from experience I had a horrible experience with my labret peircing because I didn't do any research on the person who pierced me.

i never got my ears pierced when i was younger. i wanted to, but i was more afraid of getting permission from my mom than the needle. i don't even think i wanted the earrings, i think i wanted the experience. i think i'm just a kinky brat, and the fact that i wanted the experience would, in retrospect, explain why i absolutely could not tell my mom i wanted to have my ears pierced. i mean i justified it as she was too conservative for that, she'd say no... etc, etc. but i remember distinctly being afraid she'd ask me why i wanted my ears pierced. yet one more reason i think i was born kinky. i just didn't know kinky had anything to do with sex.

i want my tounge pierced, just as a sensation thing. my girl mentioned it years back, when we were just a couple of strait girls, hanging out, chatting. she told a more naive me, that she knew a group of guys who'd all gotten their tounges pierced, and how "none of their girlfriends minded.... " this conversations has stuck in my mind, for years, i'm sure she has long forgotten it. but for that reason alone, i'd like to pierce my tounge.

on the flip side, the idea of eating, with a piercing in my mouth is repulsive. and since i absolutely have to eat, itz not likely to happen.

When I got pierced I was asked if I had anything alcoholic to drink in 24hours I believe. Because if I had they wouldn't do the piercing. It might just be a New York State thing I don't know. I wouldn't risk it though.

i still only have the single piercing from when i was a baby...see, i'm a bigger wimp than you...

But oh well...i've looked into the non-piercing jewelry...(shrugs)...and that will suit me just fine...~smile~

I'm with you. Non-piercing works for me. I do have two holes in each ear but my first holes had to be pierced 3 times. Everytime it came time to take the earing out I'd get an infection and was too chicken to put the earing back in. Each piercing hurt more than the one before too. Maybe I'd consider the belly button, those are kind of cute and I don't think there's much feeling there anyway.

I think it would be a lot different having an ear pierced and a nipple pierced. If it's the lobe of the ear I don't believe there are any nerves as there are in the nipples. Of course if you start moving up the ear you're hitting cartilage and that probably hurts like a bitch.

Also don't drink, most tattoo places around here won't do a tattoo if the person has been drinking because you do bleed more. Other than that enjoy. ;-) I'm sure it will look real nice.

Okay, play piercing is the BDSM practice of consensually inserting (usually fairly thin) needles underneath the skin for erotic pleasure. Play of this kind usually produces a wildly strong endorphin high. I've had a lot of play piercings done on me and watched a fair amount done on others, too.

So, the needles are usually very thin, like 26 gauge. ("Normal" ear piercings are about 20 gauge, i think--and the bigger the number [20 vs. 26] the thinner the needle.)

They usually don't go in deeply but simply skim under the surface of the skin. You noticed the "usually" in that sentence, right? That's cuz it's totally arbitrary between those involved how deeply the needle will be placed. That's something to discuss before the scene gets going.

I know something about flat nipples and piercings, willow. It's no secret at all (cuz i've posted about it openly three or four times) that i had radical breast reduction surgery performed a few years ago. Happily, my nipples still have some feeling. Unfortunately, they're very flat. One of them is far less responsive then the other but neither has anything at all like the extra-crazy sensitivity i used to have, when they sat atop grotesquely large breasts.

i think, now that i know what a "play" piercing is... i can safely say, that if i'm going to do it, i'm going to keep a reminder of it. proof i survived the pain.

sharp stinging pain tends not to be my thing. i feel like i wish i did like stingy pain, but i don't. or rather my mind loves it my body can't stand it, and i can't eroticize it enough to make it tolerable, no matter how much my mind wants it.

lilfrk I think thats pretty much everywhere it's like that. They have to watch they're backs, the tattoo place can get in a lot of trouble depending on what state they're in and what restrictions each state has.
