totally not bdsm related - your take on lingerie??

Wear whatever makes you feel strong, sexy and your best self. That’s really all that matters in the land of the Y chromosome.

I have been sexually active for a very long time, and have many great memories, not a single one of which involves clothes or lingerie.

sissy lol lingerie, that is one of then main reasons sissy is a sissy. That feel that can't be beat.

I agree with what makes you comfy.

You will most likely be nervous enough without adding a bra strap cutting you in half or worried about hosiery falling down.

Do what you need to make yourself feel right whether it's comfortable or sexy.

Just do you.

While it might not be comfortable, a woman in lingerie is a delight. It's fun to watch her move, watch her confidence as she keeps your eyes glued on her. It can be fun to slowly take off too, depending on type.

I enjoy great bra and panties sets too...there is something special, something erotic about lingerie

Do you feel good wearing the lingerie?
Do you consider you look good with the lingerie on?

A matched set of lingerie with stay-ups generally looks great on a woman. Importantly, unwrapping a present slowly plays a significant part in raising the levels of desire!

My $0.02 CDN:

I know she loves the sexy feel of lingerie when she's wearing it, and that's good for me, selfish as I am.

I love catching a glimpse of stocking top or lace bra cup when we're out to dinner. Anticipation!

There isn't a body type that doesn't look good in some form of lingerie. The proof is all over the Am Pics forum. I'm very fortunate to have a wife who looks great on a corset or a long gown with bra cups and a slit.

Finally, advise I got from a sales person in a lingerie chain. My wife was looking at three outfits: corset with stockngs, a teddy with a g-string and a bra, panties and garter and couldn't decide. She went to try on the teddy. While visions of changing room coupling danced in my head, the sales girl said,

"My boyfriend says they all look great on the floor"

I sent $400 that afternoon. She was right.

So, it's win-win.

Well, it's two for me (I see her in it and get to remove as much as seems appropriate). If it's a corset, it's three for me if it laces up the back, because she'll need help putting it on as we're both getting dressed, and frankly I get dressed last...

BTW: Cookie, we are all fond of your boobs, even though we've never seen them. Trust me ladies, as SSD said, there's no wrong letter! (Or number). We it want to see them, naked or clothed. :)

I’ve touched them.
(Over her shirt, for a pic. But still. They are lovely.)

You guys!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

This is the heaviest I've ever been - I ate all through the stuff with Mr. cookie and now that he's gone, I seem to eat to fill the hole in my heart. Maybe to fill my other holes. But ya know? I can lose weight. I can feel good and pretty and submissive and sexual without waiting until I lose 40 pounds. Right?

Awww. I feel all mushy. Gotta go.

(I do have nice boobs. Thanks for backing me up, Fara!) :cattail:

What do you think you will be wearing on a date? Wear that outfit to a good store, like Nordstrom’s, and get a bra fitting. Pick out a matching bra and panty set that feels comfortable but also looks beautiful on you and looks good when wearing that outfit. Try and find two different styles of panty to match the bra. Don’t buy anything you don’t feel fits right and don’t buy anything you don’t really love the look of.

Just another two bit opinion from a BDSM lurker but... ::shrug::

That’s exactly what I did.
A bra fitting is amazing.

Talk of bra fitting always reminds me of a former regular here, Cutiemouse, who worked in the lingerie field for years. She even had a thread called something like Ask the Mouse Your Lingerie Questions. Find it here.

Depends on the undies. I'm all about cotton for bras and panties when I wear them. I just don't like to wear them.

I love silk, satin an lace! Chemises and gowns mainly. Not so much teddies. I need to feel free!

Actually, you're right - in spite of the fact that I'm usually a bra and knickers girl, the feeling of an actual silk slip is gorgeous.

And ditto to the 'get fitted whilst wearing your outfit' advice - I did that for my wedding lingerie, and it was totally worth it.

In this regard I am very pleased to be a man. Cotton t-shirt and boxer briefs (for support). Works quite well under any kit I am wearing. Nonetheless, I do appreciate the effort (struggle?) women go through to feel like everything is in comfortable positions and looks good. Also - I don't fully understand why women's lingerie, clothing, etc... is so damn expensive. It's a damn conspiracy, along with sizing. How can you be a size 10 with one brand and a size 4 with another? Ugh.

Because they can, Doctor. They can.

I’m not into lingerie. I am into nice bras and panties. I would drop a lot of money for a bra, that is, as long as he doesn’t have his knife.

Wear a skirt. Or a dress. For first meeting. Because it just... means a lot for him to see you put in the effort.
Or, if you must wear pants, heels.

After he rips your clothes off you can borrow his T-shirt.

There was a time in my life, several years back, that I kept losing t-shirts. I didn't mind much because I could always get at least one back after a night at hers.

Something something something pheromones something scent something comfy. Same for dress shirts and, apparently, my boxers made nice shorts for her when relaxing around the house.

I'd get the dress shirts back from the cleaners, but the t-shirts and boxers would rarely make their way back home to me.

ok, so, ummmmm - taking a poll.

So I'm thinking about sexy time. Lingerie stuff. It gives me hives. I'm all about his t-shirt or my big sweater.

But now that I just might take the leap in to new guy monkey business, do I think about real purdy lingerie???

What's up? I'm out of the loop. What do you like?

I am pretty loopless so i just wear what i want. 99% of the time i am not thinking about what lingerie should i wear, i am thinking about how fast can we get naked. Seriously. Last first-time sex i had, the guy had me stripped in under five, easy. WOOP! :nana: GOOD TIMES! I tend to put more effort in over time, as we are in less of a hurry to insert Tab A into Slot B.

Less can be more. I once met a partner dressed very conservatively in a long sleeved tee, skirt, and boots, with a lacy black chemise, g-string, and fishnet thigh highs underneath. He took off everything but the stockings. I wore those things all night, and damn if i didnt feel sexy af walking around that hotel room in nothing but my fishnets.

A truth i learned on Lit: Your partner will want to see all of you, even those body parts you loathe entirely. Cover what you need to feel comfy, but know that he still wants to see it.

I've been thinking about this thread a lot and talked about this very topic with a friend yesterday.

What is lingerie? Are a nice bra and matching panties lingerie or is lingerie something else entirely?

I'm asking, because I'm in general very anti lingerie. Nothing makes me feel more uncomfortable and self conscious than wearing something skimpy that's supposed to be sexy but in reality just is everything but, at least when I'm wearing it. I have some garters and one bodysuit (that I tried on yesterday and noticed that it doesn't fit on the boob department, so finally I have a legit reason to get rid of it and not have it sitting in my closet making me feel myself even more of an oddball than usual), but I've only ever worn all that stuff once before abandoning. I do not look sexy in sexy clothing and the thought of dressing up for someone is problematic to me, unless I'm specifically told to wear something.

But yesterday talking with my friend, she made a comment that the bras and panties I wear day to day are what she would call lingerie and wear on a special date with her fella. Clearly our thoughts on what lingerie is are very different, because what I wear is mostly quite, well, utilitarian, even if some of it happens to involve lace.

So, what is lingerie?

Also: wear what makes you happy and is appropriate for the type of outing feels like a good rule of thumb on dates.

When I hear the word, I think, "ladies underwear", so in my mind it's an all-encompassing term.

I agree with you, most of it looks kinda silly, and the only lingerie that really gets me going is when there's none at all.
