TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

I think that the outside cat hides under the front porch. The inside cats maybe open an eye.

Maybe.

Happy Birthday, Peter Paul Mauser!!! Your model 98 is the bomb, even if the Enfield bolt operates better.

Kinda seems like quite the delayed reaction . . . .

New lawsuit alleges Catholic clergy abuse drove Baltimore attorney, banker to his death

The family of Francis X. Gallagher Jr., an investment banker and former law partner at Venable LLP, filed a lawsuit Tuesday in Baltimore that claims the sexual abuse Gallagher suffered as a child at the hands of a Catholic priest eventually led to him fatally overdosing at age 62 last August.

I'm sure that there is no end to the sadness.

I'm fairly sure that is has provided meaning and comfort over the years to a good many followers. But the hypocritical abuse of power by those in charge is pretty disgusting, and I'm also pretty sure that they do the things that make Jesus puke.

Then there are the delusional ramblings of one Elijah Poole, just for shits-n-giggles . . . .

Home. Resting for the moment.

I had to take an inclusivity training thingie. Civility. Open-mindedness. New pronouns.

Oh, I see . . . .

I tried to hire a woman tradesperson last year. The most qualified one decided she'd rather not work as long as someone was paying her to go to school. The next, ghosted us after a pay period. I heard that she asked one of the crew, "is work always this intense?" And we weren't even working hard.

We had a woman paint sub. Mamacita. She was cute and she'd work steady, too. Her son was a touch on the useless side. I thought about taking her out for supper but never asked her. Besides, I had met an Anglo chicha elsewhere. The Latinas already know what a days work looks like.

Home. Having a quick graze. Off to read shortly.

Happy Wednesday!!! Slept okay. Feel like I could have slept more. Meh. Indoor cats are fed. Weather looks to be adequate for today. There will likely be a visit - again - to the city to collect my building permit for my office trailer. We had already established that they had fucked up my email address, but I guess that sending another to the wrong one will mysteriously make it correct.

It actually takes three attempts . . . .

The Lord is washing our air with water from the sky. If the cool wet summer weather continues, there'll be a bunch of houses up for sale as people move "back home" because they're all a bunch of pussies.

People are a pack of pussies. People. Pack. Pussies. Alliteration - Wat's second or third favorite literary technique.

Finally got that motherfucking permit. Hell, it's only been a mont'. Fudge packing city. Shitty Wok!!!

Home. Still pondering what's for eats tonight. There's something in the back corner of the fridge that needs to go, one way or the other.

The HfD mechanic called. He got all my shit sorted out mechanically. Thanks to the better breather and the better mufflers I put on it when it was pretty close to brand spankin', it makes 2 fewer horses at rubber than the factory rated it at the crank. The drive arrangement is likely good for a 10-15% loss after the crank anyway, so that's not bad. We'll discuss a cam later - and orange paint.

Today was surprisingly productive.

It was a very productive day and tomorrow is going to have more of the same. I was just checking on you lot and making sure you're all still okay.

We seem to be largely okay, I think. But we are down on regular posters.

Happy Thursday!!! Slept okay. Up a bit earlier for a training thingie for work at oh eight hundred.

Got some dings on my phone from a bank of mine. See,s a credit card number got out there and that they had a free-for-all last night. While checking further, there's a bum charge from last week, too. I hate having to change those things, but gotta do what gotta do. Some people's kids.

After coffee, of course . . . .

Rode the bike to work this morning. In the fog and Canadian smoke. It was a nippy 49, but supposed to break 70 today.

I'm thinking my tomato crop is all but lost this year. No red gravy for the canners! Too dry when the plants went in ground and too wet thereafter. The greens are going like gangbusters though and even had some collards last night. The pickles are climbing the trellis pretty nice, so we'll see how they do. Too early to tell on the cantaloupes, cabbage and peas.

This has been a dismal June, wet and chilly. Similar to 2010 I think. The tomato plants in the greenhouse seem to be doing well. Maybe the flower seeds at the cabin germinated and are coming up? Might see this weekend.

Here to the south of JS, it wasn't 49 this morning. However, the sky is full of Northern smoke. Yesterday, you could even smell burning wood ... from all the way up yonder where it originates. I would like to request Triple 9 take the matches away from people; or teach them proper use of them.
I'm busy trying to outmaneuver the local wild life so they come to understand the concept of sharing the garden with the humans. I'll let you know if I'm successful. They can be kinda sassy, but I think I'm sassier.

"It wasn't 49?" Seriously??? Next time, it's "twarn't 49," like a proper holler dweller. And take the Henery to the critters. It's l'arn 'em. Quick, I reckon.

Pile of computer work today. It's done. Done did. Proper done-did, no lees.

Home. Had an idea on the way. Weve been trying to get the city to give us an answer on our HVAC exhaust duct design, and the architect isn't getting return calls. So, Wat called the contractor and asked them to apply for their permit, at which point, Wat can ask for a Courtesy Inspection.

Without having to go back downtown. And jumping up on a desk.

And peeing on it.

Not sure what's going to be for supper, yet.
