Happy Sunday!!! Slept okay but woke a bit early. Of course, the cats don't care. The girlcat is in the front window visiting with the porch cat. The other two are grooming after breakfast. They seem to like this new grub that the human got. Speaking of, it's time to make the shooping list. Not a lot needs to get got, but it all needs doin'.

So, the old maintenance super at the job Out West. The one what I lefted to come Back east. (Hush! Wat is murdalizing Engrish today apurpose). Liked him. Worked well with him. We hit a stride. We were s'posed ta do breakfast together the last weekend I was up there workin', but he didn't show. I think he had tied one on the night before and couldn't make it. Haven't talked to him since.


Until this morning. He texted. I didn't hear it, but it had been maybe a minute when I saw it, and I was getting in the truck, so I just called him. He's in a bit of a bad way - his truck died, they cut his hours at work, and my former co-workers (assclowns that they are) are trying to back-door him on getting work accepted. He told me that he'd keep them there until Xmas if need be. I told him to be my guest. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of weasel wranglers.


We talked his shit through. It's probably down to heartbeat-at-a-time for him right now. We talked about Just Being Present. He sounded tense, then better after a few minutes. I'm glad that he felt like he could reach out. And that he did reach out. Some days, it feels easier to reach for the bottle. Or the dot four five . . . .

Laundry is going here too, and soon dishes, just going to wait until after everyone has finished brunch so I can do them all at once. You know by the time you get to that grass Wat you'll need a scythe. I'm sorry about your friend though, too many good people getting the short ends right now.

A pretty nice day, here. Still cloudy to the north. only 20% - 25% of tourists with a yen to see Denali get to see the mountain due to weather. It's been one of those years where it's likely only 15% are lucky enough. But, that's because they're on schedules and can't just wait for the weather to clear. Schedules suck.

So, I was gettin' headed out the door to do a bit of outside stuff just as the wind picked up and a t-storm blew in. Now the humididdity is 6000%.


The old cat is spending his days on the plans table lately. My stuff slowly winds up on the floor, so maybe he's planning to stay awhile. He's redecorating.

Happy Monday!!! Slept okay. Up kinda early because it's going to be a busy day around here. Well, around the jobsite. The tree executioner starts, and the window installation sample will occur, too. Why it needs to be blessed is beyond me, but it does, and that's the system, so it's what we do. We don't mind. Much.


Today will be the coolest day in the last two weeks for the next two weeks. So they say.

Smoked a couple of Briskets yesterday. Both were tough as shoe letter. I called the farmer and asked him if those cows died of old age. He took offence and told me to take my business elsewhere. As if I'd by any more meat from him anyway!

My posts are disappearing again. It's a sign of things to come, and not a good one.
Work went well for a Monday, the housework still waits for me at home, the pup and little one are here, they earn their salary helping around the office. One gets paid in cash and the other in milkbones and marshmellows which I blame the little one for encouraging. Dinner will be chicken stew with the leftovers frozen for tv dinners. And that's all I got.

All of our inspections went off fine. In fact, the inspector said that she doesn't laugh as much anywhere else as she does on my job. Wat found that amusing.


Tree guys are making it loud grinding shit up. We can see sun at night at this rate.

Home. Got out a bit early. Ordered some material to keep shit moving. It'll arrive Wednesday, which is plenty soon enough. Cunt decide what's fer supper. I imagine that something in the house ahready will look more edible than everything else here in a bit.

Got a pretty good deal on a few trail cams on the Amazon today. I don't really have trouble with poachers on The Land, but I can't turn down a deal. 6 top o'the line for $100. The ones that store 30 days of video on a little card thing. Not the ones that I can see on my phone. No cell coverage out there.

Also got Larry some old dog dog food.

Geezer chow. That's what Wat calls the old critter food. There's one pasture poodle on geezer chow on the farm Out West. Maybe it's Geezer Chow TM.


Wat has tree butchers and wire butchers. The city inspector came and passed the first 6 units. He'll be back (not Terminator style) tomorrow to approve the rest of the units, insh'Allah. It's always nice when that happens. It's also nice when my subs don't lick the sweat off a munkee's sack.
