Finished the tiling in the kitchen (grouting starts today). Put together a new E Bike for my lady. Lots of home repair jobs at her mom's house. Yard work. Garden work. Multiple trips to Blowes. Two dinner events. And the holiday festivities. N.B. that Larry and I don't care for fireworks.

Pretty much. We have thousands of hectares and letting it burn once it's started means it's unlikely to happen again in a twenty year window. By focusing the resources on where lives and property are located they can direct the fire where they want it and eventually it will burn out, it just creates a big cloud of smoke while it's happening. Where I used to live they burned the swamp yearly for the same reason, the gasses and plant life create uncontrollable conditions if they don't. It's actually pretty to watch the flames when you know they have it under control.

Back to work. The road leading in was everything I expected from city workers but they left enough we made it with all four tires still inflated. There was coffee and it went down a little too good this morning, work is under control at the moment, and the contractor was here with his crew before I arrived at 6. I asked about it and since there is power and no neighbours they are getting shit done before it gets too hot. They should be happy that the HVAC units are scheduled to be installed Thursday and then they can work normal hours.

As for the glow ball warming, what happens, happens. And no mandatory ownership, that would hint at some kind of tracking, it's much better they are illegal here and we are discreet and polite about their non-existence along with other things that the world does not need to know or understand about the difference between Canadian politics and Canadian citizens.

Where I come from fields are burned every spring to allow new growth, otherwise with no buffalo to maintain it, it chokes itself out.
