TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

Also, when traveling, never pass up an opportunity to eat when you're not exactly sure when that next opportunity will arise.

We have no cardinals here.

Buc-ee's. Just stop. Fuel it while you're there. And get a brisket.

More for me then. I think that place is single-handedly going to reduce the methane "problem" by making cows go insane. Either that or they're breeding cows with extras. A brisket "burger", and some beaver tots and you won't be hungry for hours.

Home. Got some leftovers for eats. Last Friday's s'ghetti. I added some marinara and a buttload of cheese, too, and then nuke it until it glows. We do this most weeks here.

I don't know why a thought of Jabba Senior just went through my head. Allah, please help it not take root and push it out the exit, please, where it belongs.

Happy Friday!!! Slept okay. Feel a bit better this morning. Coffee almost seems to have regained its normal taste.

Another hot day at work today. I have three training videos to watch, and I have a trip to the box store to order up some shiznit. I think that I have no subs, so I should be outta there around lunchtime.

They are entertaining as hell because they are so combative. I had one beat himself to death against his reflection in my truck mirror. He left it bloody.

Now, the one odd thing is that all of the nesting pairs seem to have this truce when it comes to the bird feeder. It's like the Switzerland in their constant battle for territories.

What was I "supposed" to do in his eyes, wring my hands, whimper and run away? Silly little impotent man. I may have to start a thread over there to keep track of my monthly ammo purchases.

The first of the month is on its way.

Why would anyone in his/her right mind want a Cadillac?

Had a good visit with the maintenance guy. We got the guy with the pissy vanity faucet sorted out. About three minutes of our lives down the drain of Life. Anyway, the resident was happy. Well, happier.

I have no want or need for a Cadillac, but some folks do. The Caddy versions of Chevy trucks and SUVs seen around these parts and are generally driven by a sloper or their spouse.

The Cads are all kinds of bad and the Lincolns are worser.

Home. Actually made lunch. Then I actually ate it. Cleaned my plate, even Answered several work emails.

I think we need a weekly conference call in our department. Or a Z000m thingie. We've been bashing around this tub surround bullshit for days. Part of it may have to do with how Outlook bundles my messages by thread instead of by sender, and maybe I need to separate them. I don't know.

I do know that I feel better today.

Went to see the Friday Gang tonight. The world would likely have been better served if I had stayed at home. My mood deteriorated as the afternoon wore on for reasons undiscerned.

If my foot looks as bad tomorrow as it did when I pulled the boot over it before I went out, I'll have no coffee and go straight to the Box on awakening. Better fast, because they will need blood. Dr. Tyler can fend for herself.

She'll live . . . .

It's the weekend. The only discernible difference for the retired is the program scheduling on "the god-damned noisy box." (A Heinlein reference – that's why it might sound stranger.)

Pool maintenance today. No part yet for the mower even though I paid for expedited shipping. Silly me.

It is nice weather for coffee pond-side. I have a really nice bench down there that I rescued and restored. For what it is, it's surprisingly comfortable.

Happy Saturday. Still at home. Realized that there's no urgent need for fasting since like as not they'll be looking for infection and not enzymes and shit. Besides, coffee doesn't count, so we're still good. Waiting for the dryer to dry my shorts so's I can get outta here.

There's a boy Out West who owns the lot cut out of the ones behind last year's purchase. His trailer burned down several months ago, about the time that we decided that the one we had acquired with the dirt was probably best disposed of as opposed to rehabbed. The landlady found this boy and told him he could have it if he took it away. He did, and largely cleaned up behind himself, too.

The landlady had to go to the ER last night for an issue related to Monday's surgery. On her way home, she saw a glow in the sky. Guess what was on fire?

Meth is a nasty drug . . . .

The docs whittled on my grandpa's leg. First the toes, then the foot, then the calf. When he had a prosthetic, he could be the one-legged sea captain, but when they took the other leg, he lost his will to live.

My godfather had diabetes and went the same way, a piece here, a piece there over ten years, and every time a little more of him shut down.

Happy Saturday night, just a check-in before we head out. It will be burgers, snooker, and laughs tonight. I'd look at the damage you caused Wat but GB always spoils my mood.

Wat's pancreas works just fine, thank you so much, and since his bit of a swwet tooth is kept happy by ice cream abd he doesn't drink sodas, I think he's good for a few more decades to come. Besides, he has and awful lot of annoying-ass GBers - and ever more twatty PBers - to outlive. That'll be a whole lotta graves to pisson.

Off to read . . . .

I don't do sodas, but I enjoy the occasional sparkling water.

Right now, I need to grab another cup of coffee, but I'm trying to stretch it out.

Happy Sunday!!! I'm wrapping up my last cuppa and fixin'ta go shooping for the weeks' grocery run. Then it's grass time. I mean, grass. The neighbor's are trying to shame me.

The kitten and the porch panther are playing with each other in the front window. Each is trying to outdo the other. I really should catch him and take him to the vet so he can come in. Since I have little work this week at the jobsite, then maybe this week.

After coffee . . . .
