TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

So yesterday, apparently, Manu(re)'s hamster, the one that "powers" the server by running in its wheel so that you may derive pleasure from your Lit experience, suffered a rupture. I guess that our sadistic website owner/operator tooken a roll of electrical tape, pushed the rodent's insides back inside, taped the little bugger so it won't happen again, sprinkled a bit of speed into its meager food ration, and off he went until he flops again.

He probably lets the cats chase it to make it run faster . . . .

Got the groceries bought and mostly put away. Went to pick up the scriptsand damned if they aren't at a different store. Then suburbs girls don't know their way around the 'hood yo. And these lazy motherfuckers go to work at 10. So I'm eating breakfast and fixin'ta go back out.

At least it's a decent day out.

A good night was had by all. I made some money at the table, guys always think they're better than they are and the little old lady that's been shooting pool since she was nine doesn't know what she's talking about.

Today I'm out and about again, waiting on my brother and SIL to appear so we can grab some brunch. One good thing about this summer being so cold, it makes for nice day trips.

Cutting some grass, and it's tryin' ta kick my ass. I got the more objectionable areas done. Fuck it, I'm breaking, and I can always tackle more later.

And, they'll be moving north......

I installed the new security cams last afternoon and have already got new bear images that are much higher quality than the old units would produce. Today was mama bear (a cinnamon black bear) and two cubs.

I've considered some kind of game cam system here to check who trespasses here. I think we have a lot less of that any more since the new folks came to town at the church across the alley. That guy doesn't miss a beat - who goes with what house, who belongs there, what they drive, who's passing through. It's a big he'p, really. Wat makes regular donations.

Went to see a couple of people. THen tooken the long way home. There was a HfD involved. My HfD, to be precise.

Working on deep laundry . . . .

Happy Monday!!! Slept like the dead for several hours. Looks like we have t-storms for the day. Seems like we had a couple last night, too. And we doubt that Wat has any workers today. Which is good for Wat's foot, meaning it can rest.

And sip coffee . . . .

Well, according to the iPhone weather widget, the mild weather comes to a screeching halt today and we enter the 90+º temperature range. That's bearable unless the humidity begins to build as is its wont here.

Experience tells me that humidity cannot be far behind. Then again, aside from that last round of rain, it's been pretty dry here. You already cannot tell that it ever did rain.

I'm getting laundry done while it's dark so I can get it out on the line. It's one way to help offset the added expense of running the pool. But, I did jump in yesterday and it felt really good.

My first ex-wife used to refer to my observations such as that as False Economy. Of course, her practice was No Economy. Pennies make dollars. Which reminds me, I found a dime and a nickel last week - because I looked. Picked dem bitches up I did.

The last two days were some better, but I'm sure the humidity is coming back. What else can it do? It misses us.

That's my philosophy. It's only a penny, but I find they add up and then I bank them to make them "interesting."

;) ;)

So far so good for today.

The roofer is coming next Monday, along with the HVAC guy. I reckon that the wood butchers will be back from Mexico, too. Let the games resume . . . .

A nice morning, here. And I've already sent out a condolence note to a friend who was very close to R who unfortunately was in the helo up north. So, it can only get better, now.

The world says: 'You have needs -- satisfy them. You have as much right as the rich and the mighty. Don't hesitate to satisfy your needs; indeed, expand your needs and demand more.' This is the worldly doctrine of today. And they believe that this is freedom. The result for the rich is isolation and suicide, for the poor, envy and murder.

Well, weather report time. Yesterday's sunny day ended up with popups in the area. We heard lots of thunder and saw lots of darkness and experienced a 45-second sprinkle that didn't even get anything damp that was beneath the canopy of the forest.

Forecast for the rest of the week, Warm and Warmer, When Harry Finally Bitch-Slapped Lloyd...

Well, back to mower wars. I need to buy goats. They can't be any less high maintenance than the mower deck. I see they have a mower now where you can just drive on and off of the deck. I wonder how well a thing like that works.

Happy Tuesday!!! Slept pretty well. We get 90-ish for today and tomorrow and then we cozy up to triple digits. It is purt-n'ar the first of August, so we shouldn't be surprised.

The landlady had one remaining goat. He's low maintenance, but he's also low interaction. He stays with the horses and won't let a human get close to him.

Every day seems to have one person who needs an exception made for them. And lately I have been the person from whom the exception has been required.

Coffee needs no exceptions made . . . .
