TSCLT 12.0: The pantheon hates a pussy 2.0

No, I think that the litlib anti-gun nuts will get all hateful.

W8N 4 H8, so to speak.

Jesus is always looking for lawn care work.

Got a roof delivery. No one else is coming.

SAR here deals mostly with kids and idiots. We have a lot coy and wild dogs, even the occasional black bear or wolf but predators aren't a big risk, it's people that throw a couple of granola bars and a single bottle of water in their backpack and think a ten mile hike off trail is a good idea. Exposure and dehydration take out most of them, as for me, I have a lot of red ribbons and carabiners that I hook on low branches as I walk. I may not have much of a sense of direction but I do have a strong survival instinct that says don't be an idiot so I tend to be over prepared, but I've never had to be rescued.

The grass was cut on Friday and I looked at it today and it may need to be done again tomorrow, rain and sun makes the weeds grow.

I like the idea of a gun of the month club, can we toss in some historical pieces and references too?

Wat wouldn't want a former perg gun. Too much perg on it.

I think that all that is going to happen here today has happened already. The maintenance guy and I moved my loaner refrigerator in here, now that I finally have electricity. Praises to Allah!!! Fewer things to ride back and forth in the cooler from the house now.

A friend of mine is going to borrow my trailer for a couple of days. I'll get the leavings mowed while it's out. I might as well move the tractor and do under it, too.

Home. Having a snackiesnack. There's some rain out there blowing about from hither to yon. Looks to be our best chance of wet this week. The sun is trying to creep back out. The temps dropped at the front blew in, which is a nice touch. The a/c may get the night off.

Happy Tuesday!!! Slept okay. Turned off the a/c last night, so it's strangely quiet in here, not that that's an issue of any kind. Cooler than last week again today, which I'm a'gonna blame on teh Glowball Warming.

Allegedly, we get roofers today. We have good weather for the first day of August for such things.

Damn fine coffee this morning.

I find the regular feature, Bearing Arms, over at HotAir.com very useful not just for the discussion of different arms, but the status and antics of the anti-gun culture wars. It might have some good items for a gun-of-the-month thread, if you're putting it on the PB. That would attract a lot of toe jam for a PBJ.

I see that distributors are giving up on Bur Light ever coming back. Seems all Light Beers taste pretty much the same.

*chuckle*

Piss? Only in 'Murrikah!!!

I'll make a note of that for said proposed thread.

I'm liking this-here semi-auto shotgun I'ma lookin' at.

No, that's too clunky. It's a tube mag, 8 + 1. Nine rounds of #4 12 gauge is gonna warm some asses. Bring the AR along, too, to kill the survivors.

I'll bring my AK platforms. I can cut down a tree while I pray and spray, just like those Muslim fellers...

🤣

Morning. Drinking the magic bean juice, hoping for a miracle. Already need a nap but I have to adult.
No gunfire, explosions or anything else loud here, though I understand what Wat means about the quiet. When the power goes off it takes a bit before the batteries kick on and that dead silence in between is like something out of a horror movie. Noise pollution is a real addiction.

Wat has a 20-gauge semi-auto for birds an' sich. Sometimes, they need killin' too. Wat likes his AK platform shotgun, too, but it's not the most wieldy thingie out there. This-here one would be like a pump gun without the pump. And Wat would like another pump gun, too.

Quiet day at work. The workers are workaliscious. The manglement lady rear ended a car on the way in this morning. She wasn't even charged. Not much damage to the car. Moreso to her ego-n-feelers.

I have a couple 12 gauges for crows, I chose them mainly because it's easiest to find ammo for here.
We can have crow numbers in the thousands, so most farmers have shotguns or bangers to drive them off.

Once, the Miller brewmaster said, "Anyone can make light beer, just add more water."

I'm still planning to pick up a 20ga, just because it's lighter to carry around than a 12ga. But, now that I have the sweet 16, plans may change a bit. The black 12ga is the one that goes to the cabin with me with a full tube of Black Magic for any nuisance bears. I'm hoping that the black finish will just scare the bears away because i have no need for a bearskin rug.

I'm thinkin' that a lever gun in .45-70 would be mah up nawth b'ar choice. With some +P+ solids. Cop Killer + + + ammo.

Home. Having a snack.

The kitten is sniffing the back of the computer.

The post office sends emails promising lots of mail. I get home to bupkis. Lying sacks of shit.

Happy Wednesday. Slept okay. Felt tired last night and basically slept the night through. That's always a nice touch. Cats are fed and kitten is fucking with something. In a few minutes, likely as not, she'll race around the downstairs for a bit.

The weather liike to be holding out in the low-to-mid 80s for the week, and maybe rain on Friday. Next week looks like a couple of days at 90. I guess that we'll survive the Glowball Warming. And my roofers will, too. Hell, we had a breeze yesterday.

Like a cup with coffee in it . . . .

I am only one; but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still I
can do something. I will not refuse
to do the something I can do.

And now it's August. How fast times goes by these days. The garden in doing well enough to have me busier than usual for the foreseeable future.

I saw a Bond Arms 45-70 Cyclops derringer last week; all I could think was; What where they thinking? and Who would want that monster? I can't imagine the kick on firing that beast. I'm also pretty sure I don't have the grip to fire it, and so there is no temptation to do so.

Yeah, some of those outfits make those things for the .50-cal crowd. "Why do you shoot a 50 caliber?" "Because they don't make a 51."

Roofers are busy, and they have another pretty day. They sent me many pics of their work, which I need to send to myself so's I can include them in my new daily logs system and sent them to Housing Authority Inspection Woman. We like her. She rides. HfD even.

The Question

By: David Lerner

The most important question facing
poets of today is
how well would you do
under torture

the most important question facing
poets today is can you tell
shit from ice cream
one moment at a time

can we change life or only
name its parts

what's the longest suicide note in history
and who read it

how many shovels does it take to
dig up the bloody heart of the world
and start it ticking

the most important question for
the poets of today is

is God just another
comic book hero with a fancy resume
or something we can meet in person
if we have enough nerve

are our poems infectious with beauty
punishing as they glow
shaking the walls of the city

or clumsy paper airplanes
sailing through the air
as it sickens and dies

The most important question facing
poets today is

when morning cracks hard
and the gray light stutters through
the window
and you are afraid

when you move effortlessly from
last night's nightmare to
this morning's headlines
can you tell, can you see,
have you heart,
will we
