I have another onion in my home improvements:

Want a hot tub on the back patio...

So to run a 240 line is about $1800. Ok. That's doable.

But...

Electrician says he can't put a 240 line in my existing Federal Pacific box (Yes, I know. They burn houses down).

New breaker box is about $2100. Oy... up to about 4K now.

But...

County inspector wont approve the new breaker box because the mast on the roof is bent.

New mast is $3,000.

$7,000 before I even buy the hot tub! I might just buy a new house with one already installed.

That sounds like the level of horse shit that Wat endured at the hands of the county Out West.


Swear to Baby Jeebus (or baby Yoda, depending) that we got set up and ratted out.

Have a few odds-n-ends at the job which we cannot return and Wat ain't throwing away. The boss said, whatever. Wat put an ad out there for 20 wall cabinets, 33 x 30 x 12, two shelves. All plywood construction. New, cheap. First guy wants two, tonight, no haggling. And the cocksucker stood me up. His ship has sailed. Woman tomorrow wants 7. That'll do. Another guy wants 3. And this guy on the hook will take 10, which is the whole shebang.


Got home and the fire truck is next door, so I figured that I'd ask to see if the people needed anything. It's a gas leak. They got a new stove last week. They'rewaiting on Pubic Ewe-tilly-tees to come and put their sniffer on it. Hell, Wat has soapy water in a spray bottle. Old fucking skool.

Happy Wednesday!!! Slept very well, actually. Out like a light when the alam sounded. Surprised me, no less. It's going to be a touch warmer today.


There will be the HVAC guys and the wire butchers. I'm also supposed to have sheet rock weasels to patch the remaining fuck-up holes. The plumber may arrive, or he may be tomorrow. No matter, as serious headway is being made in short order.

Good thing money grows on trees and these days, thanks to the helpful inflation that we should be appreciative of, the trees are bigger and fuller!

Beautiful Fall weather. The lettuce on the koi pond is looking ragged. I might try some of it in the indoor tank and see if the new LEDs are what they are advertised. It's supposed to warm up here, 'Injun summer, so I beed to get in for the maintenance phase of the end of the season, get the plants out, clean and reset the pump in deeper water. Lot's of fun!

I ask you. With fun like that, who needs a swimming pool?
