When my grandfather came to the new world and needed work, he joined the army.

They can't until they get their papers. Refugees have to go through a background check to make sure what they said is legit and these men have just arrived. I lost one full-time person this year and created two new full-time jobs, we also grew over the last few years, I want to hire four full-time people, my requirements for pullers are low, speak English so you can answer the door, be able to match the number and quantity on the sheet to pull from boxes and put into the bin that will be delivered to the shipper, and be able to handle physical labour. Reading English is nice but not necessary, which is why we volunteered. BUT, half my workers are women and we have students in here all year long, some work for us, some do work placement to get experience while they are in high school (I help them get their forklift driver licenses, work in the office, or learn how the integrated equipment works). If these men have issues working with women, it would be better they were situated somewhere else.

Happy Monday!!! Slept okay. It was reassuring to be half asleep at a couple of points during the night and to hear the furnace in here doing its thing. Whereas I could get a new gooder one kinda cheap and it wouldn't be that hard to change it out, I'd rather not put any money into this place that I don't have to.

Happy Monday!!! Slept okay. Was aware of feline migration during the night, but not of when it happened. Girlcat went from here to there, Kitten was there and then here. I don't know. It didn't matter.


So the Buffs beat Miami in quite ugly fashion. Let's hope they dispose of the Stealers this weekend. It would be the will of Allah.

Happy Wednesday!!! Slept pretty well. It's cold out there. The furnace ran happily, and I was/am happy that it did. It goes maybe to 35*F today. Hope the Latin floor crew doesn't get frozen at home. Wat went through the building yesterday and turned up the heat. Here's hoping that we look better when we get the inspection scheduled for Friday. We'll see.
