TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

But are they doing it because they're anxious or obsessional themselves? Or out of malice or to pick on you?

The first ones are a pain in the ass, the last ones are dangerous.

Usually it's because of existence justification.
There are those whom are put in place to be the fall guys.

Yes, that's most likely.

I hate the "covering one's back" attitude.
While we've all been forced to adopt it in order to survive,
it's been pushed to ludicrous proportions in middle managers,
in large institutions with military types of hierarchy.

Home. Ate out - again. Fuck it, it's Sunday, and we got some shit knocked the fuck out today. I mean, all the fuck knocked out, bitches.

It was a pretty day weatherwise. t did rain a few drops on us not long after lunch, but at the rated shit got sorted out, it wasn't an issue.

I say, we get this building done Tuesday by noon, fix the other one that afternoon - a floor fuck-up - and then get the outside presentable on Wednesday and Thursday morning. That should about wrap it up.

And we can be sure that he'll find something . . . .

Such a sad sight, because you know if she'd bought a Mopar, she's be lounging at her destination.

Maybe she just borrowed the piece of shit . . . .

Sounds like you got'er whipped Wat.

Very cool day here today, damn near cold with no warm up until Wed. Oh well.

Shopping AR 10 kits now. Can't decide on barrel length.

It has been a beautiful and productive weekend all around. After the drive to work in the pouring rain, Friday night. I was a little leary about how the weekend would go. I will say, the multitudes of suicidal frogs attempting to cross the road may have had something to do with my trepidation. It was a cross between real life Frogger and one of the plagues visited upon old Egypt.

AR10? Twenty inches.

I have seen that Frogger stuff. Insane it is.

Looks like we get decent weather for the rest of the week.

Allegedly, it hit 90 at home, so there's that.

Heya BT, a Froggie kinda year huh?

I hear ya on the 20" Wat, but I'm actually leaning towards 18" right now. A little faster handling and quite adequate out to 300 yds. The 22" are too long and the 16" too short. But I have time to decide so no rush. Fact is I can build the lower and then sit on the decision for a while. Hell, 6.5 Creed isn't off the table. The 6.5 upper will fit the 10 lower, just a different mag. One of the beauty of these "Barbie Dolls."

I like Barbie dress-up shit. I had fun with the bike doing it the other weekend.

I may juggle some more shit this weekend coming up, especially since I have 4 days . . . .

Re. BT's frog story. My lake house in FL was overrun with toads in the spring when the rains came. The acre immediately surrounding the house would be carpeted with the damn things. When the Sun came up in the AM not a damn toad was to be found but the next night, mind rending noise. It was is someone had parked a 747 outside and was running the engines at full power. No frogs though. The lake was filled with Bass, Perch, Gar, softshell turtles, and Catfish so the pollywogs never stood a chance.

It has been a froggie year. The local radio stations are now counting the number of days in a row without rain. I think they hit 4 in a row once.

Yeah, there have been a few showers, but fuck-all for rain in a week or more.

Thanks be to Allah!!!

Okay, off to hit the rack. I'm all done having fun.

The eastern part of the state here, got a inch or so of snow last weekend. I was content with rain after hearing that.

I hear you. I'm over the Winter, let warmth permeate my world. It's going to be a bad Spring for the bears. The snow is going to drive them to easier pickings down where the garbage cans are. I should have put in for a bear tag, Spring bear is good eatin', Fall bear is like an overfed hog.

My kids are artistic but I am not. I'm merely able to differentiate between absolute crap and things that might or might not be relatively good.

I took a chance on an original oil painting. It looked to me like somebody with Talent doing Motel art...or more properly, what artist that do notel art are trying to accomplish.

This is a very large piece and it had two drops of paint on it. I couldn't picture any reason that somebody that works with oils would accidentally get a couple of drops of paint on an oil painting so I took a chance that it was probably late text from somebody repainting a room. This was seriously dried on and didn't look like it was something that I would be able to peel off. It resisted thumbnail pressure and was completely dry.

I stopped into the art supply place where I bought my son's easel and asked and the girl there didn't really have much of an idea but I bought some turpentine in case that was going to help my little restoration project. I figured if I screwed it up I would get one of my kids to repaint it.

Some tedious work with 99% rubbing alcohol and a whole half a box of Q-tips later I got both drips off. I can kind of tell where it was on the one that was at the peak of a mountain top where it met the sky but the one in the trees you can't see at all.

So I'm noodling around trying to find out something about the artist and I find this painting.

What I have is exactly this painting except the artist put the water in a different location.

Apparently he was his own xerox machine.
