San Francisco repealing boycott of anti-LGBT states and California may do the same​

San Francisco is repealing a ban on city-funded travel to 30 states that it says restrict abortion, voting and LGBTQ rights after determining the boycott is doing more harm than good.

The Board of Supervisors voted 7-4 on Tuesday to repeal a section of the city's administrative code that prohibits staff from visiting and city departments from contracting with companies headquartered in the states, which include Texas, Florida and Ohio. California, meanwhile, is considering the repeal of a similar law.

City supervisors will hold a second and final vote next Tuesday. Mayor London Breed is expected to sign the measure.

The progressive city passed the boycott in 2016 after the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. At first, the boycott applied only to states it considered restricted the rights of LGBTQ people. Later, the list was expanded to include states that limit access to voting and abortion.

Secondly, I don't pay attention to nor listen to rap music.

Thirdly, a person running for President is quite a different category from an artist.

But keep working that deflection...it might work.

These artists have far more influence on culture than the president. It's the world we live in. And you don't even listen to them so it will be easier. If you think a current president or candidate should be judged by a single statement made in private 10-20 years ago, then surely those with far more cultural influence should be judged even more harshly. I mean, Trump wasn't even talking as, or even considering being a president of the USA at the time! So again, since you are so concerned about how women are viewed and treated in our culture, you should have no problem joining me in me boycott.

Oh, you mean the woman who was laughed out of criminal court so took it to a civil lawsuit court with an openly liberal judge who used "defamation" accusations over Trump simply saying what every defendant in the country has a right to say, guilty or not, that he wasn't guilty and the woman was off her rocker for accusing him? You mean that case? The one that is going to be easily overturned on the basis of constitutional violations alone? That case?
