So an update for anyone who was interested.

But today, I am picking up my worker to take him back to his house. Least I could do. We have arranged as a company an opportunity while he recovers for him to work remotely on other projects.

The good news, and the relief, is that he is going to be able to work normally again after some time to recover.

Never felt so low and yet feel so high on my job. Nothing else has mattered - we all need to get home safely, every day. It has given me some lessons to take forward. There will obviously be further investigations on site with the contractors, but - we are able to resume for him, a normal life. That’s all that mattered. I am so relieved.

Probably the best news you could have hoped for under the circumstances? Take the positives but learn the lessons too. Sometimes people don’t take things seriously enough until they see what can go wrong (not you I hasten to add)
