I actually have to take 'pre-meds' rather like yours, Brioche, right before I get my remicaid treatments. Once a few years ago I started breaking out in hives from it. (Minor case cause my nurse noticed it even before I did - lol) Now I have to take claritin two days in advance, one the day of, and then they give me IV Benedryl, which totally knocks me out. I have to get a ride to and from my appointments and then I sleep all day.
