Since this thread started back in 2013 there have been approx 3000 postings. Of the first 10 pages (. 25 ads per page) only 10 were from the fairer sex. Of the last 10 pages, only 5 ladies posted/ responded. With numbers like this it’s a wonder that this thread managed to continue at all. I believe it’s your Herculean effort the past 2 years that have kept it going. But I fear it’s days are numbered with out more female participants. lol, I probably made 2000 of those posts. Maybe that is the problem, women are sick of me whining so are not posting. :) There has always been a huge male to female ratio problem on Lit but it seems to be exaggerated on the VA thread considering the number of people in northern VA, Richmond and the VA Beach area. I am sure there are women from VA on Lit but I guess they find more interesting places to post or just prefer lurking.

I may try to get a happy hour setup sometime where we could raise a pint or two. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
 
Not quite sure, I stopped counting at 669... I think you analysis is a good one. Like the idea of raising a pint 🍺, but as I live in the Valley, & you in NoVa, I believe the logistics, especially the homeward bound trip could be a challenge. Still I like the idea. If you ever happen to be in the Valley in the future, let me know. Slainte 🍺

Yes, sadly & as per usual mostly the male members of this state. One would have thought over the past 4-6 weeks 3, or perhaps 4 ladies would have logged on from somewhere between Manassas to Appomattox. But such is not the case. And so it goes🤔🙁

There is definitely a lack of women representing the state of Virginia in Lit. With the size of the population in the DMV, you would think that there would be a few women posting here to at least say hi but unfortunately it remains a male only club here.

I guess there are no sexually frustrated women in Virginia who might be looking for some male companionship during this time of social distancing.

How are things for everybody on Thursday? Problem now is that there is nothing to look forward to so the days are just blending together. Anybody else forgetting which day of the week it is since they all seem alike?

It certainly is a challenge. At least the park is still open in town. We take our dog there every morning for his daily “ constitutional”, & chat with our fellow “ dog lovers”, although we aren’t always the requisite 6 feet apart🤣🤣. The “ ABC” is still open, shorter hours & today they started to restrict walking into the store. You tell’em what you want, they’ll get it for you. At least they still take cash 💵, someplaces won’t depends. Never ever thought it would be such a drastic change. Oh well at least the weather is turning. Have plenty of beer 🍻 & tobacco.....at least until the middle of May🤣. Stay Safe & Occupied my Good Sir. Slainte 🍻

Glad to see that there are still Listers from Virginia but unfortunately it is still only guys. Are there actually no women on Lit from Virginia or are they all just lurkers? Enquirering minds want to know. :)

Not from VA,but quite of people down here from VA. Some don’t want to leave.
 
So what are people doing today to entertain themselves? Anybody found something interesting to do?
