Visual Inspiration (part 2)

It surprises me other people don't pay enough attention to body language.

We're writers...I feel that as writers...we should always be cognizant of something as character revealing as body language. It can be a great tool to convey to the reader what you're character is feeling when you can't afford to say it aloud in either exposition or dialogue.

I have to agree. I think that most people think that if they just cram a whole crap load of adjectives into each post that it is enough. They tend to forget about the subtle things, like a character blushing, their eyes closing of their own volition for a brief second, or even, like we said, some example of hesitation or reluctance.

Every character can't possibly be 100% okay with everything all the time, and something as simple as not being able to meet somebodies gaze when asked a question can speak volumes, in my opinion anyway.

Absolutely.

Every writer has an arsenal of tricks and techniques to get the reader into the mind of their character and the groove of the storyline. The use of body language, pacing, limiting or flooding a post with details. The use of gratuitous detail or going all poetic with it and obscuring the graphic action with flowery prose...all of it are weapons a writer uses with intelligence and precision.

As with every warrior a writer must constantly practice and hone their use of their arsenal of weapons.

I will admit though, that every tool has it's moment. The trick is to figure out which tool is best served to which purpose. Whether it's a quick, functional, and emotionless fuck, a passionate and lustful taking, a slow and tender love-making, or even the single-minded devotion of worshiping another persons body.

Every situation can get the blood to boil if done correctly.

You come across this while surfing the net, there she is your 20 year old daughter, showing off her assets, or at least one of them. You are really pissed, after all you haven't had a chance to see them since she was 12 and they sure didn't look like that. Go figure.

Whoever that good looking young woman is she has a perfect breast-nipple combination. My lips, tongue and hands could do wonders for her. :p

Yes, some very subtle things can make a very big difference. The great lost love of my life was at first glance very plain. She was not ugly but she could not be Miss America either. She simply blended into any crowd.
Once she started talking about sex she would go through a transformation. I would swear that her lips became fuller and OH how she could kiss. Her kisses were more satisfying than vaginal intercourse would be with most other women. The more excited she would become in a conversation the more she would lick those lovely full lips of hers. There was a certain look that she would give me that let me know that she really wanted to share a bed with me.
Then there was the way she moved. She had a very natural and unaffected wiggle to her bottom.
There were so many things that I can not put into words. It took me another 25 years to find a woman who was so effortlessly sexy.

"Different strokes for different folks." Anything with the slightest hint of violence turns me off. I adore women in general. I live to worship them with body, mind and spirit. Every woman is a potential goddess for me.
