Recently I learned that pictures and gifs that have URLs in them are prohibited by Lit's pic posting policy even if posted as a link to a separate browser window not on Lit. This limits the pics and gifs I would want to use.

And over the last few months I've been worried that this thread's mission to inspire my fellow SRPers to come up with new story ideas, new scenes, to challenge themselves with playing characters or genres that they would've been too timid to tackle before, to add details and techniques to their posts that they would not have thought to put in before was not being as effective as I had hoped when I started this. I've worried that this has become just another picture thread here on Lit instead of the resource for all of you I had wished it to be.

We have somewhere over a hundred and fifty or more posts before VI (version 2) reaches 5,000, and right now...I don't know whether I should bother starting a third version of this thread.

I still have time to make a decision. I'll evaluate what to do until then.

Veroe, your threads raise the bar here on Lit, and inspire my thoughts and actions on a regular basis. I hope that you will keep on with your thread, but I respect the effort it takes, and the limitations that exist here. But believe me, it does make a difference for a lot of us.

Thank you for the kind words, SailorJerry, they really did a lot to warm my heart.
 
I would miss this as I'm sure so would many others. It may not always be obvious but I think people draw inspiration from these pictures quite frequently. I understand the difficulties though.

I find it curious that lit even has that policy considering the graphic content of most of the writing here. It's not like this website is protected from people underage from seeing it so I don't really understand the difference between the writing and the pictures.

It's legal issues.

As I understand it the law is harder on images of graphic content than text for some reason. That's easy: I stick to Softcore Porn rules no straight on genitalia and if it is it can't be erect or full on, and no penetration, but you can be pretty heavy with the implication.

The tough one is those damned URLs, and copywrighted images. Some of those are so damned small or faded in the image that its easily missed.
