Is it though? Piss, that is? I would think the presence of androgens like testosterone would cause a man's urine to be stronger, which might be me thinking of non-human animals because males will mark their territory with piss, so it should theoretically smell stronger, right?

I believe that the reason there's a stereotype about human male piss smelling stronger is that human men's restrooms smell worse than human female ones. And the reason doesn't have to do with whose piss smells worse, it has to do with whose piss winds up needing to be cleaned from the floors, walls and outside surfaces of the porcelain. So, because men's restrooms smell more like piss than women's restrooms, there's a perception that men's piss smells worse than women's piss.

I think that's false. Based on my experience, piss is piss. The things which contribute to how strongly an individual's piss smells don't have to do with sex or gender.

Did your male piss tops drink more coffee or alcohol than your women piss tops? Eat more meat? Smoke more tobacco? Drink less water? Were they older? These are mostly things which could be tangentially gender related, but I believe it's the behaviors, not the gender, which yields the result.
