Waxing the pubes

noooooo, I've seen it in the beauty supply store, but have heard it's not a whole lot different that wax? A friend of mine used it - OHHHHHHHHH - YES - she said it worked best on her eyebrows, but left her with BLOOD BLISTERS on her bikini line. I kid you not.

It wouldn't surprise me if she was just using it incorrectly, but that has never happened to me with wax.

Has anyone else out there used Nads?

I believe anything is worth a try - I've only used hot wax, but there are cold products too.

OH - here's something I've tried that worked and may be good for you. Pre-waxed plastic strips - you can get them at walmart. Basically, it's two pieces of plastic stuck together with wax. You rub them between your palms to warm it up. You peel them apart, and use them like wax strips - just smooth them on and remove like a linen strip. It actually worked pretty well on my bikini area! The only reason I don't still use them is that they don't come in a big enough size to do my legs (I'd have to buy a LOT), and I figure since I have to use regular wax on my legs, I might as well use it everywhere.

(I still think you should go to a salon! :) )

The nads says it is a heat free wax and from what I was reading it works the same way.

The heat does not bother me and either does ripping the sheet off. I just want to make sure to buy the stuff that works best.

A while back I tried the Epil Stop and that product not only smelled like shit it did irritate my skin. Plus it didn't remove all the hair. Now they are selling a Men's product called Epil Stop & Sport foam hair remover which honestly I don't think I would trust it.

Shaving is a pain in the ass because you need to do it every day or every other day, and the last time I did it I nicked the base of my cock and was bleeding for about 2 hours, plus even with the razor it always leaves some stubble.

From what I was told with wax it lasts 2 to 3 weeks between having to use it and leaves you smooth.

What product do you use??

I think there are other threads on hair removal products and reading some of those would give you even more opinions on the matter, but what I've noticed is that there's a huge difference in effectiveness from one person to another when it comes to this.

Everyone on this site is gushing about Magic and how great it works for them? It makes my skin bleed.

I've tried the Epil-Stop stuff and you're right, it is total crap.

I had bad luck with Nad's as well. It doesn't get all the hair and I ended up with sticky goo everywhere. I also had lots of bumps and irritation afterwards and as it grew back in.

No one can really tell you for sure how Nad's or anything else will do on your particular skin with your particular hair, so unfortunately, there's always an element of risk. Just don't drop too much money on any one product and try to keep a sense of humor about it.

There are so many products out there, but not all work the same. You may have to try a variety to find one that works well. I've found the "sugaring" wax doesn't work...ya rip the stuff off and half the hair is still there <groan>. None are terribly expensive, but I've found the hot waxes work best...especially some of the ones that are made in France. They seem to have it figured out. Good luck and let us know how it goes <wicked grin>.
