Did you meet your sweetheart on Lit or another site perhaps?

Do you have a success story to share for a relationship that started on Lit and advanced into more?

Do you have an online love story going on with someone you met on these boards?

My love and I met through the Lit Personals board. I responded to his post with an e-mail and something between us clicked instantly. We were soon burning up the Internet exchanging dozens of e-mails a day. That was soon followed by two and three phone calls a day. We had a long distance relationship for two years, knowing that one of us was going to have to make a move if we were to be together. My brave sweetheart made the sacrifice, giving up everything he knew to move east. That summer, we were married on the anniversary of the day we exchanged our first e-mail. We've been married three years now and I thank God every single day for my blue-eyed Cowboy.

Congrats Gil & Bandit, you two seem so happy! I'm glad you guys were able to connect and make it happen :rose:

I've met my friend and he is just as wonderful, charming, and perfectly gentlemanly as he has been online. It was a lovely evening and I'm so glad he took the chance to meet me! :)

awww... glad to hear that, PTM!!!

I met my BF online at another personals site. We started exchanging "getting to know you" emails, then started instant messaging. We met IRL after we'd been "talking" online for almost 4 months, and we've been together ever since. That was almost 4 years ago.

I absolutely concur with your statement yank  I'm 2 for 2!

The two wonderful people I have met from here have both proven to be wonderful, intelligent, and witty people.

Meeting people was never my intention for being here. Although, I am so very glad the opportunities arose. :rose:

I met my first litster last week. She was even more charming, thought-provoking, insightful, and attractive than I had already thought from talking with her on the phone and seeing her pics. It's wonderful to know that there are people here who are the same in person as what they represent of themselves on line. I'm so glad she took the chance and agreed to meet me for dinner. :)

:D

Good for you..

Perhaps but one dinner does not a boyfriend make. Lots of people meet fellow Litsters without being bf/gf.

*sigh*

Here I was trying to be all cutesy and supportive of a friend and you have to be all negative and nasty.

Do you have to rain on all my parades? Mz. dark and nasty.

Ok, so I was really just teasing her. Perhaps there is no room in that top of yours for a sense of humour?

I hope you're still trying to be cutesy. Otherwise, ouch.

WW probably has a thicker skin than I do, but the way I'm interpreting it is painful just to read, especially in this thread in this forum. :(

I can't believe I haven't posted this. I met a very close friend here at Lit, and last spring B and I made the trip to the east coast, and I got to spend several days with her. She is even more warm and wise in person as she is here.

Also even more of a smart ass. That's one of the things I like best about her.

I feel the same, having met 5 Litsters, with hopes to meet many more in the future. I didn't meet my spouse here, but have been lucky enough to find a couple of people I've connected with exceedingly well. :)

Congrats and best wishes to all of the new friends and Lit couples! :rose:

NB...clearly you got up on the wrong side of the bed yesterday...or maybe just were over tired. I think it's you who's missing that sense of humour. :rose:

Trust me if PTM had found love on Lit I'd be tickled pink for her...feel free to tease her all you want...after all her name IS Pleasteasme. I just know that people tend to think that if you post off of someone a lot that there is automatically something to it...and it's not always...maybe even, not often...the case.

I've met a number of Litsters...none of which are my boyfriend/girlfriend. Damn!

Hoping to go to a Lit-together next month....ooo all the bf/gf I'm going to have :nana:

My 2 cents...

Like many here, I have had an opportunity to meet several people from Lit. I travel as part of my job, so it affords me the opportunity to visit places around the country and even around the world.

To date, I have met 4 people from Lit. And they have, without question or exception, been some of the most wonderful people I could have ever hoped to meet. I have found each of them to be as genuine and beautiful as I could have possibly hoped for. Each meeting very different. Each setting different. I have met for breakfast, dinner, a drink and once just to sit and talk. I even drove for 4 hours (one way) for a two hour meeting once. And yet, there is has been one constant. They were all wonderful beyond words.

One interesting note about the meetings I have had. Each of them have been with people I counted as real life friends (not just online friends) long before we met. These were not casual meetings with semi strangers. It is that very comfort and familiarity that made each of the meetings so special.

I have no regrets. And I look forward to the next opportunity I have to meet someone from here. Whether it be someone I have met before, or someone I have yet to meet for the first time.

Ahem, smart ass? Wow! So are you now using the lightning bolt that struck to power the neighborhood? :p

My SWEET friend, you've heard imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I was only trying to keep up with you -- O' Queen of the Smartassed Ones.

I've met ten or eleven Lit friends... it's great fun. I'd hate to miss out meeting any that come near or if I go near. There are so many more I'd love to meet and hope I'll have the opportunity in time.

I only wish we lived closer, so we could visit more often. You are truly a warm and special person, and I count you as one of my dearest friends. I am truly lucky to have you in my life, even if we are separated by a continent.
