Were you naughty or nice this year?

My youngest son gave me an awful potholder he made himself with one of those loom things....and the next oldest one wrote me a poem...etc. etc. You get the picture, and I will save each item and treasure it.

Each of the kids used words like "awesome" and "way cool" Christmas morning... and I have Sir 24 hours a day now... I can't remember a better Christmas.

I got an engraved lucite keychain with the word "DAD" in it from my two lovely kiddos. That is the most important thing. I don't see them very often for several reasons, but that they remember me as that and got that for me almost made this Grumpy Dom cry with joy.

even Grumpy Doms need a few happy thoughts once in a while

i cried when i recieved Masters gift and note because it touched me and made be feel so very special so happy tears are a good thing

But I got a music box that is a dragon sitting on a crystal ball, a bracelet and bath and body works from my girls, and 2 of my all time favorite movies on DVDs. Of course since he got me McLintock I guess he noticed how naughty I've been as well

I got kitchen toys, (turbo cooker and pasta pots), new music, homemade ornaments from my niece, gift certs for my favorite bookstore and vintage clothing store, new books, wind chimes, and a drop dead gorgeous set of earrings from D. My life is so full of wonderful people...

We finally did Christmas today (some medical things pushed the exchange back). Anyway, got a gift certificate for a pre-natal massage and a few CDs I wanted.

My Dad gave me a set of pasta pots (my mom gave me a set last year, they're still in the box), my sister gave me a stuffed dog, a cousin gave me a ceramic Santa, my brother gave me bath stuff, and my aunt and uncle gave me microwave popcorn.

Mom, Dad, and my grandparents gave me envelopes with green stuff in it. The green stuff is gone, everything else is in the "to be recycled" pile.

well, I am back after visiting friends and having no net access for a while, but I must have been very good this year....

A little back ground is in order first though...
I have some very good friends, of whom the husband is a metal smith by trade, whoi also works in leather. I inititally was planning on giving myself a small present of a custom toy bag and some toys to use in the future, but my slave found out and took over the whole thing and it grew.... an d grew... and grew....

Chest and Bag

The chest is wood and woven rattan, the case is all leather and designed for the floggers and small canes

Toy Chest contents, includes more than just toys

the small glasses are votive candle holders, the tupperware hold two different recepies for honey dust, the multi-colored fuzzy thing is a mitt knitted from alpaca yarn... very soft, the tan mitt has a knitted twine on one side and soft terry cloth on the other, next to the incense burner is a pounce wheel and representative clothespins, above them are 24 large plastic beads peral knotted onto a draw string... the belt is about 20 years old and very well broken in but still very sound (and for those that are currious, the flasks and shot glasses and Gentleman Jack are because I like it, but not necessarily as a part of a scene)

the travel case contents

from left to right, feathers (of course) a nylon "angel hair" flogger, a suede flogger, a metal corked backed ruler, a piece of cutting board plastic to become a flat rule, a small oak cane, a bamboo cane, and a riding crop, beneath, a larger walnut rule, a longer bamboo cane, and a 4 foot fiberglass cane.

two additional items for the travel case

The top has a name that escapes me right now, but is two pieces of leather stiched with a rod for rigidity with the flat ends not stitched for more sound as you strike, it is dyed red on this side and black on the opposite side, beneath is a grass sheath "whisk" that makes for some very interesting sensations and can start to sting if enough pressure is used...

I know that I still have a good bit not in the set yet due to time restraints, such as a custom single tail possibly with a silver filligreed handle, a first aid/rescue kit, bondage tie downs and rope, and a good number of other items that I am being kept in the dark about

now, if only she wasn't across the country right now....

I didn't get anything on xmas morn...but then again, I'm Wiccan, so that wasn't a big shock...several days after xmas I went to my mothers, and she had a collection of htings from my VERY LARGE family...lots of homemade cookies and candies in pretty bags, a wine rack and five bottles from wine from my godmother, as well as a beautiful set of stemware, a bottle of Captian Morgans (note: I am not an alcoholic, entirely, my family lives around several vineyards, and often when one has such a large family, tis easier to buy lots of bottles of wine, and let each family member pick their favorite.) I also got lots of bath and massage stuff, a gift certificate to a store in the mall, an awesome black and red patent leather box, a new outfit, and some god awful ugly boots that I am sure my mother picked out wiht the best intention...at least this year the clothes we black, I think my family has gotten the idea (finally) that when they give me colored clothes, they just go into the back of the closet

actually my mother is good about giving me clothes and the rest of the family just doesn't even go there anymore...lol ends up going to the goodwill after a year in the closet alot of times so they just give me money mostly

My mother used to be good about giving me clothes, she would pick out nice little numbers that i could incorperate into my wardrobe easily...but lately she has gotten into this kick about how she doesn't want me to dress like I am going to a gothic strip club anymore...which for that fact I dont...my skirts are always full length, even if my shirts are nothing more than a sheer lace or fishnet top...and she was tired of seeing me in january wearing four inch strappy heels outside so she bought me a very nice, very boring scoop neck black velvet top and skirt, and some quarter calf length black boots with no heels, and they weren't even combat boots...and this wierd bunched thing on the calf part, so it makes my ankles look like they are swollen...I admit it keeps my toes so nice and warm...but I wont be making a habit of looking for clothes or boots that match them...
