follows the trail of chocolate...

shakes a finger at Noon

Layla: Thanks! They weren't so complicated, really - just cupcakes turned upside-down, little chocolate cups on top, drizzle the whole thing with warmed frosting, then decorate with dragees, pretzel sticks and Cheerios. The challenge was to do it while baby napped.

We each ate one at breakfast, and they are nummy - but messy!

And...I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm not the Whovian around here. Haven't watched a single episode, yet. My first Google search was for "daRleks"...

 I know. Google was embarrassed for me.

But I've also ordered him one of these! It just hasn't arrived yet. I know he's going to love it!

WAIDRN? Preparing to go out, for the first time in months! Half-naked men are going to wiggle their tushies at me for my loonies and twonies. Should be amusing. :D

Blinks at her innocently, then distracts her by giving her a kiss on the cheek, inadvertently leaving a chocolate smudge against the line of her jaw. Woo! Sounds like a good time. I hope you have fun while you're out tossing your "loonies" at these gentlemen.

Canadian currency just sounds like it's a euphemism for something. Regardless, I hope you're having a good day, beautiful.

I'm wondering just how late I might be up tonight. On the bright side, if I'm up late enough, I might encounter a bit of a different crowd than usual.

I'm still giggling. :D I was way too sober for that business, I think! But it was a good laugh, and still nice to get out for a bit.

It's good to finally be able to get out for a change. I'm glad to hear that you had fun and are in a good mood. :) But then, I just am glad when people are happy.

I tried really, really, really hard not to laugh.

Note to Vail- Yes I did. Jury is still out for me. I can't decide if I'll like it or not!

Looking after someone's toddler is like looking after someone's puppy. They're too excitable, you want to spoil them and you're not willing to push too much when it comes to discipline because you're unfamiliar to them and they're likely to shit themselves... literally.

It's good practise but don't read too much into it is all I'm saying. If/when you raise your own and impose your own routine/boundaries from birth, that's when things will start to come naturally.

True!

Hey Seven, do you have kids?

No. I have a niece though and I look after her 3 days a week while my sister works. She just turned 1 and is almost fully mobile

Awesome! They are such fun at that age. My niece (well my favorite) is almost 4, she's such a kick ass kiddo. Terrorizes my brother. Which is awesome. :D

One of these days I'll get things figured out and hopefully get kids of my own. Elsewise I don't really know what to do with them. But I'm going to start teaching in the next couple of years, so I'll get some early experience with high schoolers...blah.

I'm thinking that there really should be a Father's Day Thread or something around here. Spent today with my parents, and laughed as my mom dragged my poor bedraggled father into the museum gift shop. And just now remembering that brunch buffet at the country club-that was freaking awesome.

Gently sitting and getting back to my classwork. One class down for the summer... one to go.
