I saw where there was a pretty large protest that turned ugly in Oz the other day over just this.

There've been other protests in France and elsewhere, all of which aren't showing up in our network news feeds here.

FWIW I have my own opinions over the whole mess but Lit PG isn't the place for sharing them. Rant's over... do or don't just prove that you're an opinionated ass. Venting however about being tired of the whole mess is cathartic.

It's the UK Online Directory with 630,184 posts. Understand that closing at 5,000 was not always done. It was only started eight years ago. So, at that time, some of the oldest threads had 12 years of posts in them.
