What are you watching?

Finally finished up the train-wreck of HBO's season 4 of True Detective.

BORING!

They string us along with tidbits about solving the crime, but the show is all about the interpersonal relationships of the people in this small Alaskan town, with a little indignation at how the native population is treated.

While that may be well and good in another series, they diffuse the detective work to the point that you constantly have to figure out where you are. Inept and unsatisfying. As the lead, I'm surprised that veteran Jodie Foster hasn't learned how to choose better, more competent stories than this.

I don't know yet, since I got to the end of Lerverage: Redemption last night. Gonna wait a bit for the new season of Cross, because there are 4 episodes available but they're releasing new ones on a weekly basis.

A new season of The Night Agent is coming any day now.

I watch about 1 hour of scripted TV on a weeknight, and I like to watch a show night after night.

I may start the 1-season Watchman series. Don't know yet - and the original Avengers series recently became available again, so maybe I'll watch the one where the bad guy dresses up like a bird.

Just got done watching Top Gun ~ Maverick

Didn't think I was gonna like it but it turned out to be pretty good.

Now I want to go back and watch Top Gun again ...

:D

Watched the first episode of the 1 season Watchmen series. I may have seen this as it seems vaguely familiar, but I'll watch it again until the new season of The Night Agent starts up on Netflix.

I have a long list of movies to watch in alphabetical order. Next is Hard Country. Decades ago I saw an article about an artist who painted screenshots of the movie, which was frequently on late night cable or something, but I never saw it.
